I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

God bless!
Hi, fruityMay I know the site you are talking about? Just for us to follow-up their status so that we can also have an insight of whats going to happen next with our papers?
Thanks.
Hi bratinella RN. Did your lawyer already receive the official letter from NVC? or is it just your agency asking for the docs ahead? Because most of us here are still waiting for the official letter from NVC. My lawyer said that according to NVC they are behind schedule and is still in the process of mailing out the letters.
Yes, my lawyer already received the letter from the NVC. I checked with NVC, the letter was sent to my lawyer last week. And the letter says I need updated DS230s for me and my dependents, 2x2 pictures and police clearance.
To answer lawrence's question, I have not lived outside the country, that's why it's unclear to me why they asked for police clearance instead of NBI.

You can send the NBI. It's prob. a generic checklist.
My mistake on the "thank you".... (I always commit that mistake!). Anyway, to answer your question. NVC's message changed from "Lawyer will receive further intruction...." to " awaiting the biographic forms" on April 7.... Though personally, I don't think this could be baseline on dates when the requests was sent since I think Leis23 and Agp had this message ahead of me.... I was also wondering why most of you haven't receive the requests at this time. Though I have checked other sites where some already received the request but not sure if only from the agency or from the lawyer. I don't know if it helps that I don't have an agency, and my lawyer is doing things fast since I am paying him directly. Just an opinion.
Thank you fruity. whew! That was a wk waiting for the letter. Hope our lawyer will receive the letter too this week. Maybe NVC is busy just as what agp_ph said. Well let's just pray that the July 2007 thing will not happen again..Praying that everything will run smoothly this time. It's been a long wait already. God bless us all.
hi guys! i just received an email from my lawyer. they already receive the letter from nvc and have asked me to send the docs.
these are the documents they requested.
updated ds230
original police certificates ( nbi clearance) from the philippines for you and your husband
copy of biographic page of the passport for you and your husband
2 identical front view photographs with a white background, as required, for each applicant.
write the applicant's name on the back of the photo, as well as the case # mnlxxxxxxxxxx
they also emailed me regarding my daughter's case and this is what they said:
since this office just received the nvc request for new updated visa
applications for your and your spouse, your newborn daughter has to be
added on your applications. if you enter her name as coming to the us with
you, nvc will not process your applications until they first receive the
visa fee, and then the completed visa application and required documents.
if we enter her as following you to the us at a later date, there is no
guarantee that the embassy will allow you to pay her fees at the time of the
interview and bring her with you. they said every embassy is different, but
since they will notice that she was already born, and most mothers do not
leave their newborns behind, they may say you indicated on your application
that she was coming to the us at a later date and will not allow you to
bring her. that is the decision you have to make. if you decide to add her
now, you will need to e-mail this office a copy of her birth certificate, a
completed ds-230 1 form.
i have decided to put her name as coming to the us at a later date since there is no way
for me to obtain her nso birth certificate and passport by may and i do not want to wait until july to have our application process because dates
n the visa bulletin might go back to 2002 again and delay again for application for years.
what do you think, should i just have mine and my husbands documents process and just take the
chance if we can add ask the embassy in manila if we could get a visa for her together with ours.
if you place your dependents as will follow at a later date in your ds230, how long does it take
them to get their visa? i just hope that i made the right decision of just putting my daughter
as to follow to the us, hoping that the embassy will still grant her a visa together with me.
Hi agp_ph.Great news!your lawyer already received the official letter from NVC. In my opinion, its a good decision that you continue your processing now and have your baby coming to US at a later date. I know you've waited long too and with the current situation of limited visas don't let your chance just disappear and wait days, months or maybe a year. But you might as well ask the consulate during interview if you could include your baby in going to US, Just give it a try. God bless and congratulations on your baby:bby:

this is a question i'd like to know too...
i've read some articles about "follow-to-join" but still up to now, i do not fully understand it...
