I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

hello.just got a new email fr NVC..it says waiting for the form ds230..before this was missing docs and a letter was sent to your lawyer last july 2007..Hope the official letter fr NVC will be received already by my lawyer..God bless us all

ei buddy.. did you send it directly to NVC?.. Did you include the barcode sheet? I had the same request to send my new DSC230, nbi, copy of passport, 2x2 pix + the barcode sheet. The prob is I got my old mail (june2007) that has the barcode sheet. Can I still use this to send?
what did you guys do? Did you send the docs to your lawyer? any input... thanks

No... I just called the NVC awhile ago and my AVR changed to " the NVC is waiting the Biographic data..." then I spoke with an agent and told me that they need those docs mentioned. Do I still need to wait the mail from the NVC to my lawyer?

Yes, our lawyers cannot submit the documents without the official letter from the NVC. Hope we get our letters soon.
Babies are normally added at the time of the interview and the visa fee paid then, at least that is what has been done in the US Embassy in Manila in the past. That is the only exception that is made to the rule. Any others must get their approval made on a DS-230 before anything can be done with them. But a newborn has never had any issues, at least that I am aware of and have never seen one that was kept back to travel later on to meet up with the mother.
If the visa bill cannot be paid that day, then that is another story all together.

Thanks suzanne4, I will call the embassy in Manila as soon as I get my interview schedule. I am just hoping we could have her passport already by that time so that all her docs will be complete at the time of the interview. As of today, I still have to follow-up her birth cert from the hospital because they said they will release it two weeks after her birth, then I have to go to the NSO to request an NSO certified birth cert which is needed to apply for a passport here in the Philippines. Obtaining an NSO birth cert alone would already take 1-2 months, then another 3 weeks for the passport. I just hope we get her passport in time for the interview.

Hi nurseako, baseon your PD of March 2006 you are not yet current this May VB that is why NVC has not sent your lawyer the new request for updated docs. We are already current this May and our lawyer just received our request this week. You will have to wait for the new request before you can send anything to NVC.
I have a question regarding my status. My PD is Feb 6, 2006 making me current this May VB. When I called the NVC hotline, the voice prompt I received said they have generated my visa fee bill letter Apr 21, 2008 and will be sent within weeks thru mail anytime soon now, and that I will follow the instructions written on it and return it to the Agency. I asked my agency about my visa fee, I was told they have paid it already last July 19, 2006. Is the visa fee bill on the NVC voice prompt that was mentioned are for my dependents? Any case here that is same as mine.
