I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

This is the same number of visas every year, it is not anything different at all. Many keep thinking that they have fallen from the sky with an unlimited amount and that is not the case, never has been and never will be.
And the only reason that you have seen movement in the PD dates is that some with earlier ones never had completed files or approval on an initial DS-230 and in order to complete files and finish them up, they have moved the PD further ahead. But for no other reason than this. And this is what we have been stating all along here, it is not anything new at all.
Best of luck to those of you that are waiting, but if you do not have approval on an initial DS-230, then do not expect a visa at this time, even with the PD being current. The government is not going to wait for you to get approval. Updating an approved DS-230 is something else entirely.
If you take the time to sit and think about what is happening and even just with one country, the Philippines. And with a simple calculation of 30,000 waiting for visas at some point in the process; and the fact that the 10,000 also includes dependents, that means that one will be waiting for more than 10 years as it is. Dependents count in the number of the 10,000, that is not the one petitioned person only, and other professions are included in that as well.
That is why there is a retrogression to begin with.

Sometimes the truth really hurts..but I am still hoping that the 3 years we have spent waiting will not be into waste.....
I just want to update you guys..I contact NVC and the automated response said that they receive documents last may 1 and wait for 6-8 weeks for review..still hopeful that everything will turn out alright

I think you meant "PD feb 2006"... This is good news for you. Wishing you the best.
What worries me now is if the Phil consulate schedules 3-5 months after the case becomes documentarily qualified and I believe there is no single one on this forum already have a date, the chances are very slim for us to have a "closed case" before the dates go back. It is expected that dates would go back FY 2009. OR is there a possibility that there could be an assigned visa number for us even the dates go back just like they used to do except for last year.
