I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Any charge needs to be listed, if not, and they find out about it later, then everything can get cancelled by immigration.
Always best to be upfront and honest with any of this information. Be aware that depending on when this occurred, and you did not include it beforehand, it may cause issues for you for withholding it from the beginning.
The NVC already gave the checklist to our lawyers and they only asked for the DS230 of my husband but just the same I gave and sent all the complete requirements just in case..I called the NVC before but they gave me a different response..My NBI clearance is still not expired. And I submitted a complete set of requirements last June 2007.Maybe thats the reason why they were not asked.
They did not ask for new pics as well? Many still have unexpired NBI clearances as well and gave the complete requirements last year so many are expecting that only the DS-230 forms will be asked to be updated but not sure how long they keep the pictures valid.
You are going to have a big problem if you think that your spouse will be added to your petition. It is way to late for that and they cannot even be added until after the wedding and then a thorough investigation of them will take place just like you went thru before the DS-230 was approved. Only babies can be added at the interview without any delay. You are looking at two years before he will be able to join you in the US, there is no way that he will be able to go with you when you get your green card if your PD is from 2005. Going to be impossible and that is probably why the attorney has not responded to you.
Be aware that if you wish to add him now, you will no longer have an approved DS-230 and will not have any chance of getting a visa any time soon. Sorry to put a damper on your plans but this is just being truthful on how things are done for US immigration.
my lawyer has not responded about my ds-230 but when i called him and asked him about adding my husband, he said i can add him by requesting for an interview for him during my interview by presenting docs about our marriage. it's okay if it'll take two years..my husband has an active tourist visa anyway. but i read this part from a webiste: http://www.immihelp.com/gc/consular/employment-immigration-marriage.html
3. Marriage after returning the documents to NVC/consulate, but before the interview:
Consulate may not schedule your spouse's interview along with you. You will attend your interview as planned. Bring a certified copy of your marriage certificate and completed DS-230 Part I for your spouse to the interview. Please let the officer know that you recently got married and ask them to schedule an interview for your spouse. Interview will be scheduled approximately within 60 days. You can either wait for your spouse to go through consular processing and get immigrant visa, and both of you go together, or you can go back to US with your immigrant visa and your spouse can enter US later as an immigrant once he/she gets immigrant visa.
but it is not mention for how long he will be able to get the immigrant visa..maybe 2 years. :-) It's okay.

i would like to ask you suzanne4. My husband has no record at the NBI as we have secured no derogatory record twice for the past two years. Now my PD is current and we're waiting for the Packet 4. My concern is that my husband was charged administratively/criminally related to his work. The good news is he is already acquitted and we have the papers of acquittal.Last time i filled up the DS 230 forms, i did not indicate there that he was charged but now he has the papers for acquittal, should i tick "yes"? and attach the supporting papers? thanks.
