NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

PD Dec 2005

hi leis, no news yet from my lawyer. haven't been on the forum for a while since I was in the hospital. Gave birth last April 21 to a baby girl via CS. Now I am concerned on how to proceed with my application. If I should request for a visa fee bill for my daughter from NVC which will take time and I won't be able to have her passport until around June because processing of NSO birth cert and passport in the provinces takes time. Anyone can give advice? If I should add my daughter in my DS230 now and send to NVC without the supporting documents(birth cert and passport). Or should I just wait for my interview and add her during the interview and pay her visa fee bill at the embassy in Manila? I emailed my lawyer but so far no reply yet.

Congatulations on your baby girl!!... I think it would be faster if you would add your daughter on the interview as it would take time getting her docs....only my opinion but you have to ask the lawyer if there will be issues on your interview if you don't declare you daughter this time.

I've always wanted a baby girl....:wink2:

The NVC already gave the checklist to our lawyers and they only asked for the DS230 of my husband but just the same I gave and sent all the complete requirements just in case..I called the NVC before but they gave me a different response..My NBI clearance is still not expired. And I submitted a complete set of requirements last June 2007.Maybe thats the reason why they were not asked.

yeah we sent a new d230 docs and new set of nbi birth and everything. Hope this counts a lot.

You just need to take the baby with the supporting documents to the interview. Do not try to add her to the DS-230 now, or it will hold you up for months and months and months. And you will pay her bill at the time of the interview.

Glad to hear that the delivery went well for you. Best wishes to your family.

hi, ag_ph! Congrats on your new baby girl! i have a dilemma as well. i'm getting married this May and i know the marriage certificate from NSO will take awhile. i'll probably just bring some proof about the marriage during my interview. no news from my lawyer too.

good luck to us all!

You are going to have a big problem if you think that your spouse will be added to your petition. It is way to late for that and they cannot even be added until after the wedding and then a thorough investigation of them will take place just like you went thru before the DS-230 was approved. Only babies can be added at the interview without any delay.

You are looking at two years before he will be able to join you in the US, there is no way that he will be able to go with you when you get your green card if your PD is from 2005. Going to be impossible and that is probably why the attorney has not responded to you.

Be aware that if you wish to add him now, you will no longer have an approved DS-230 and will not have any chance of getting a visa any time soon. Sorry to put a damper on your plans but this is just being truthful on how things are done for US immigration.

Hi guys! just an update, called NVC a while ago.... "Case completed on April 24, 2008...." It only took 6 days from the time they receive my docs! God is good....
