I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Hi, my pd is April 2006, as i've rang the nvc, it said like these, "we've received your payment, the lawyer will received a letter from us, blah, blah".... i believed that next month my pd will be current ..,
However, my concerned is, I'm married and included my dependents (spouse and first child) in my petition, what if i get pregnant for my 2nd baby prior to my US embassy interview?
would it cause a delay or unable for us to get our passports stamped?
Will the consular instructs me to deliver first my baby and be good enough to reserved a visas allotted for us?:bowingpur
pls share your inputs... thanks!

If the baby would still be in the womb then it doesn't change anything. Also, since you used the term 'if I get pregnant' means you are not pregnant now. If you have a complete file, it is more likely you get an interview and your passports stamped even before it would be time to deliver. Once passports are stamped, you are given 6 mos. to use it and be in US soils by that time.
i just want to ask you if i still have to check with NVC re: visa availability like what everybody else is doing or just wait for the embassy to contact me. i was just wondering why those people with PD dates earlier or later than mine gets response from NVC like "no visa available yet" but then when i tried to contact them the automated response says they don't have any record of my file? i've been to embassy last year but unable to obtain visa because i lack NBI and told me i just have to send it next time visas are available. why don't they have any record of my file? is it because they've already forwarded it to the embassy?
Lawrence, do you know the answer to this?
Lawrence, do you know the answer to this?
She claimed that she were able to go to her appropriate embassy and was instructed to return if visas are available. This tells me that she was already previously given an interview date and was one of the unfortunate ones that were not given a visa for whatever reason last year.
Her file is already in the embassy and is being kept there ever since and not in the NVC anymore. She should be contacting the embassy and not the NVC anymore.
Just called NVC now, automated voice response says from no visa available..... to " the lawyer will receive instruction within the next 90 days". I'm Very optimistic that this is a positive movement on our case.My PD October 2006. Let's continue praying!
Got an update from NVC today. Visa fee bill generated April 21, 2008 and will be sent in the next few weeks. Another positive movement. Patiently waiting for my turn.

Reign 5,
I would also like to add that even if you gave birth prior to your embassy interview, you and your dependents including the newly-born will be given a visa. You can add dependents even at the time of your interview. You just have to accomplish another DS230 including them as accompanying you. The important thing is to have the supporting document like the birth certificate.

leis23,
the manila us embassy link to inquire for interview date is still there. go to consular & visa services and look for immigrant visa appointments and click it. look for the highlighted link :

Birth Certificate (NSO), marriage certificates (if any) and the copy of the biographic pages of the passport has always been part of the requirements. If you did not submit those previously then it is considered incomplete. Photos are also required.
