NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Hi, would you be so kind as to tell me what happen to your husband's paper after meeting with your new lawyer or whatever advice he gets from him. I will appreciate it very much if you can post it here as well, thenx and God bless...savian:nuke:

hi savian. my husband went to see the lawyer yesterday and he said theres a big chance that our lawyer's visa fraud cases affected the delay for the gc. Anyway, my husband transferred to this new lawyer. He will be representing us from now on. No visa fraud cases, we checked already. So we're just hoping from now on that he will be able to help us more rather than be the cause of delays. Ok hope these info will be helpful to you. God Bless!

hi, guys!

have a question: how long should my passport be valid to be eligible for approval? 6 mos.? my passport is expiring on July 2009. :-)

Just 6 months from the date of issuance of your visa. Yours would be fine.:wink2:. I just hope our lawyers would soon receive request from the NVC.

im so happy about the movement! cant wait for next month's post...PD july '06..

Hi there, thenx for the update. I just have a few questions, if you don't mind. who is your husband's petitioner? and was your atty really the cause of the delay of the issuance of his gc? what packet is he in now? in fairness to my atty he did a good job when he was handling my case coz from packet 1 to 3 it only took him 3 months. i had my packet 1 - July 2006, packet 2 - Aug 2006, Packet 3 Sept 2006 and if not for "D"retrogression I could have been in US early part of 2007. he was a fast worker coz all in my batch had the same speed of processing compared to other lawyers. so it really pains me that he is such a big mess right now and I sure hope things will get better for him.

i can not deny up to now i still worry a bit although the law firm already gave their assurances that somebody has taken over our cases, oh well, lets just say i am a worrier.

hope that your new lawyer deliver, really deliver what you expected from him...best of luck to both of us....and God bless....savian:nuke:

what are the docs that you prepare?

hi, nurseako! i haven't received anything from my lawyer yet. I just called him a few days ago and he has not received any updates. But I have prepared the usual documents:

1. NSO birth certificate

2. Photocopy of my passport

3. NBI clearance

about the photos, i don't know if I will send some ...I'll ask my lawyer.

PD Dec 2005

Hi nurseako. My lawyer has not received the official request from NVC yet but I just prepared the same docs they asked last year like

1. photocopy of passport

2. NBI clearance

3. updated DS230

Did not prepare birth certificate anymore as this do not expire and they did not ask for it last year. Also I was not asked for photos last year.

Can anyone help me? please enlighten me... my PD is Feb2007, packet 2: july 2007. haven't reached the DS230 yet. as of now, i am currently unemployed and have been like that since april 2005 (took nle dec05, ielts apr06, cg sept06 & nclex mar07 ). but i have undergone a 6-month training already in one of the tertiary hospitals here in davao. i am applying in different hospitals but it it's much difficult to find work as a nurse now than before. we're just too many. it seems that parents sometimes do not know what's best (because they wanted me to finish all the exams first before trying to find a work). hehehehe! im afraid that when the ds230 arrives any time soon, i won't have anything to put under the question #22 (Employment for the last 10 years). Can it affect the decision of the Consul during the interview or even during the 'documentarily legitimate/prepared' phase (am i ryt?:p)?? what do you suggest? im considering of applying as an MT (med'l Transcriptionist) for the meantime. i'm so lost... help help! ;)

Hi guyz, our case is almost the same, i have a 1 year experience as a regular staff nurse in a certain tertiary hospital. i have jas resign recently, because i was hoping that i could land a job in the city easily considering the fact that I already have a 1 year experince, but i guess i was wrong:scrying: , however i will be expecting a training program this coming june. I resign last middle of feb 2008, i hope the 3 month gap will not affect my application. I also believe that my ds230 is fast approaching, i jas hope that i have something to put in that paper. hahaha

I would recommend that you consider going to another country first and getting experience. With the huge increase in the number of applicants for the green card, we are expecting the officials at the US Embassies to get more selective and they have every right to do so. Even with having a petition submitted last year, there is still no guaranteed that you will be able to get a visa even in a few years, definitely consider another country to get actual experience as an RN. There are quite a few for you to consider and then later on if things work out for you, great.
