I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Nothing from my lawyer yet.... It was only on April 7 that my message changed to " waiting for biographic..." So I'm guessing they just sent out those request to our lawyers, like last year I remember when I talked to one of the costumer services of NVC they told me that it takes about 20 days from the date it was sent out.
How about pretty nerielle? Hope your case is already completed. Please do update us. Thanks!
just received this email reply from nvc today:
good day:
your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).
we are waiting for the form ds-230 (application for immigrant visa).
the applicant must complete this form and send it to this office so that
we may continue processing this file.
please visit
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html to download
a copy of the ds-230 and/or the instructions. if you do not have
access to the internet, you may wish to visit your local library or an
internet café.
if a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the
nvc (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will
expire. in that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents
will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration
process.

hope i can relate to all of you in the very near future. but for now IM TOAST! my pd is feb2007 (phil) and have read that some of the people with the same pd as mine have already sent their ds230! i don't even know if the visa fee bill has already been paid by my agency... i already emailed them just moments ago. :) anyway, if i try to call the nvc via automated voice call, will i know if it has been paid already? i have been so much enlightened by just reading all the responses to this thread. wow! im so amazed! and happy for those who have received their visas! felt like it was me! hehehehe! but i really am happy for u guys! also, just would like to ask you how many years did you wait for that? thanks... ive been waiting for a little over a year now... :) hope to hear from y'all soon! :) God bless!
Congratulations Bettyboop!!!!I hope I could also experience the happiness you have right now...
just want to let you know guys (agp, fruity, etc) that NVC received the DS230 forms for review (again) and that I need to wait for 6 to 8 weeks, blah blah...
BTW,NVC didn't ask my lawyer to submit NBI certificate (although it's expired last year). i fear that it may cause some delays again. Any input guys? Thank you..

I think it means if you didn't reply on their request and its been a year, then you have to pay for it again. Its really odd for them to ask for another payment since it's not in our hands that our dates are retrogressed....OR they could ask additional payment since visa fee for immigrant increased last year and ours were paid around 2006.... Oh well, let's wait and see what our lawyers will say when they receive the request.

I agree with fruity, since we sent our updated DS230 last June 2007, then it's less than a year from our last correspondence so we should not have to pay again and it is not our fault that there is a retrogression... Maybe that paragraph of their email was for those who did not reply to their request last June/July... We all know that most of the responses of the NVC are generic in nature (it's like they have prepared responses and they just copy and paste it).:typing
