I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

Suggest that you speak with your employer as soon as possible and see what they are doing about this. If your employer provided you with this upstanding lawyer to begin with, wonder what else got handled wrong? It usally takes something substantial to get an attorney disbarred, it is not something that is just done for the whim of it, but suspect that he was being investigated for sometime.
What else has been approved other than you having a PD date, that does not tell me anything.
hi, I am already on my packet 3 going to packet 4 when retrogression kick in. well, i guess there is no harm naming my attorney since it was all over california immigration circle when the conviction was handed down. His name is Mr. Philip Abramowitz. I called the law firm and they said nothing to worry about since he was not the only lawyer of the firm and a series of legal blah, blah, blah. But you see, I can't help worrying. Anyway, I'll take your advice, I will try calling my employer, although I am not very optimistic because employer usually won't tell you much, they are used to saying and I quote, "Don't worry, we are working on it".
Thenx again and God Bless...savian:nuke:
My PD may 05Have recieved my interview date from the embassy yesterday, my interview date is April 3rd 08 at 0900
Congrats! from what country are you? just wondering because if we're going to base your pd to the vb, it isn't current yet, right?....this must be a miracle!:yeah:God has granted all your prayers, I'm happy for you...you're long wait is over and you're about to reap the fruit of your labor....
hi, guys!i've been reading about the May 2008 VB predictions...what do u think? I hope it is Jan 2006. hehehehe
PD Dec 8, 2005
If NVC will be able to finish processing those with Dec. 2005 PDs as some are reporting that they are then the US State Dept. can move the cut-off dates to at least Jan. 2006.
Lawrence i have just sent in updated DS230 my PD is Jun 05 do you think they will complete my case before moving VB forwardIf NVC will be able to finish processing those with Dec. 2005 PDs as some are reporting that they are then the US State Dept. can move the cut-off dates to at least Jan. 2006.

Moving forward or do you really mean moving back again? You should be more concern if the dates moves backward again before you go through the interview date and get your immigrant visa because if it moves backward again beyond your PD and you still don't have the immigrant visa then you are put on hold again.
The trend is more forward movements are expected from now until the latter months of the fiscal year, esp. for EB3 ROW. End of fiscal year is Oct.
If they keep moving, yes. More forward movements would just mean more people can be processed. Mostly from CP as AOS adjudications is totally backlogged.
More forward movement is expected so that the consulates can pick up the slack as USCIS is not keeping pace with Adj. of Status. Nowadays the inability of USCIS to keep pace with AOS adjudications for people who used this route is what is driving the forward movement in the cut-off dates. The US State Dept. is moving the cut-off dates forward so that the yearly visa quota will not go to waste. They are pretty much anticipating that USCIS can't possibly use the visa quotas on their own for various reasons (esp. of talks of emphasizing on naturalization cases instead of AOS cases because of the US elections) and so by moving the cut-off dates significantly they will be sort of letting those doing consular processing try and use those up instead. These forward movements is benefiting those under consular processing because as far as processing efficiency goes, the NVC and the consulates are faster in a fair head-to-head match.

So in short Lawrence if they continue to move forward or don't go back this fiscal year we should get processed right through, if they move backwards we remain stuck

Yes. All those under process right now should pray that you close out your case before it moves backward again. If the dates moves backward again and your case isn't finish then everything will put on hold again and people will be waiting for the next cycle again.
