I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!

this is great. with a dec. 2005 pd, this mean the us state dept. has the green light to move the cut-off dates in the may vb.

hi fruity,
that is good news. this gives us hope.
hi guys, I just checked my automated voice response. It still gives me the same voice prompt just like before. " no visa available..." My Pd is March 2006. I guess I'm still too early to contact them.. It's fine though, I'm still busy renewing my US Lic. it will expire in June 2008 and I have to finish 30 hours of CEU!!
Anybody here with the same PD? March 2006 that was able to check there NVC voice response? What does it says?
from precy:
hi how to you check your case in nvc. what # should be dialed?
hello precy,
you should have a case number first to be able to access the phone inquiry. the 10 digit case number was assigned to me by nvc when my petition for immigrant was approved. since my country of origin is philippines, my case number starts with mnl2006_ _ _ _ _ _ (manila).
you have to use a touch phone to be able to connect. i tried my pldt line but i can't connect so i used my cellphone.
1. dial 001-603-334-0700 ( you will be welcomed by nvc)
2. after a recording instruction dial 112
3. after a recording instruction again dial mnl or 665
4. a recording instructs you to press 1
5. then enter your 10 digit case number & a pound sign
ex: 2001 556 098 #
6. a recording is heard again then press 1
7. you will hear now the voice prompt regarding your case
tip: you need not wait for the instructions to be finish to key in the vital numbers. this is to save cost in your call time.
Hi! I have a question and hoping someone can shed some light on this...My PD is Nov 2005. NVC voice response states that ""The lawyer will receive information in the next 90 days". a change from the previous message "No visa availability...." as most of us here with PDs of July -Dec 2005 have in our messages from NVC voice response. With the movement of the visa bulletin, there is a good chance for my PD to be current on the May VB. (keeping our fingers crossed).
In line with this, I have a couple of questions:
1. I am due to give birth end of April or first week of May. Now assuming that the visa bulletin moves forward six months to Jan 1, 2006 on May, and we are asked to send an updated DS 230 form around April (I will not be able to include my newborn yet on the updated DS230 since she is not yet born, no birth cert and passport yet).
2. Assuming we get an appointment letter for medical and interview on May, this letter will only state my name and my husband's name. How will we be able to include our newborn. Can we just bring her along to the medical and interview even if her name is not in the appointment letter?
2. Processing of birth certificate and passport will probably take around one month(Since I am not from Metro Manila, express processing of passport in the provinces takes 15 working days(3 weeks) with the new machine readable passport) so if I give birth end of April I won't be able to get my newborn's passport until end of May. Now, if we are scheduled for a May medical and interview, can we bring our newborn with us and have her medical and interview at the same time with us even if she does not have a passport yet?

First of all, congrats on the new baby. A baby on the way seems to be always a sign of good luck. You will be able to include the baby when your file is already in the US Embassy. Just provide the necessary papers such as birth cert., etc.. So, no problem with that, so don't worry.
Although I have doubts of you getting an interview in less than 2 mos. after they will receive your file from NVC (the usual time frame for US Embassy Manila is 3-5 mos as stated from their website) you can always call the Embassy (best if you do this) and inform them of your situation and ask for their advice on what to do.
And I think the US Embassy gives a special leeway on those cases. You just have to inform them of the circumstances.
Good luck.
