I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
I was asked to submit again an updated DS230 as requested by NVC (same thing last June 2007). I dunno why because last Aug 2007 I was already documentarily qualified- which I got from the email I received last year.Anyone here who could give me an answer why NVC is asking me to submit again an updated DS230?
( but it gives me hope because they have mentioned that once they received it, I will be notified regarding my medical and interview)...but your opinion will be appreciated.thanks in advance.
hi pretty neirelle,
Did you send your updated DS230 already? Did you receive new email confirming case completion again? Please update us on your case. So far, only you and bettyboop are current this April VB on this forum. But bettyboop's case is different because her file was already forwarded to the Embassy(I think in London) last year and she was not asked for updated DS230 by NVC anymore. In fact, she already have an interview schedule as early as April 3. I think you are the only one here current in the April VB who will be interviewed in the Philippines.
As for the rest of us here, our PDs are November and December 2005 and some have 2006 PDs so we are not yet current but we are curious how fast NVC reviews this updated DS230's.
Guys, just called automated voice response of NVC... message changed for "visa #'s are not yet avail..." to "the lawyer will receive update within the next 90 days"....
Hope this means good news like last year:D
I am just soooo excited!!!:monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance:
I pray that my reason for excitement is correct!!!!

With a PD of Dec. 2005, I guess they are expecting your PD to be current within the next 3 mos., if not sooner.
Good luck. :)

I've asked this question to an immigration lawyer. He said that if they sent you the old version of the DS-230 form and that is what you sent back and you updated all the supporting documents or they will not be expiring soon, he highly doubt that NVC will ask someone to fill-up the DS-230 form again for the reason that there is a new version of it indicating the new expiration date. He said that it is practically the same Form, nothing has changed aside from the new expiration date indicated on the right upper hand corner of the DS-230 Form. So, if the supporting documents are all updated and there is nothing to update on the Form itself, they will prob. not ask the applicant to fill-up a new DS-230 form again simply because there is a new version of it. So, unless NVC specifically asks for it, better not do so and just wait for the request if indeed they will ask.
