I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Please be aware that adding your husband to an already approved DS-230, is going to delay you considerably. You are just submitting an updated one, if he was not on the original, then it is going to be hard to get it approved quickly. He needs to be checked out just like you had to be to get this far.You need to check with your attorney as soon as possible. Also you have another problem as he cannot be added to your DS-230 since you are not legally married as of yet.
Please be aware that he may require separate petitioning from you and not be able to join you for about two years. He really needed to be on the original DS-230 to be able to get a visa when you do.
If you are in-line for a green card at this time, or in the next few weeks, there is no way that he is going to be able to be included with that green card. You will be receiving it before you are married possibly.

Hi Leis23,
Congatulations on wedding. Hope everything will work out for you..... I guess the reason why bettyboop was not asked for updated ds230 is because her case was already forwarded at the consulate last year, unlike some of us our file is still at the NVC.
hi guys! i'm getting married in May..and my PD is Dec 2005. if i am asked to send in an updated DS-230..what will happen to my husband?? Does he go thru the payment of visa fee bill..etc etc...could you guys help me out what i should do?? how can i be documentarily qualified? what are the docs I need to send like marriage license, NBI clearance for me and my hubby, birth certs and photocopy of passports? thanks!
Hi Leis Congrats on your wedding. I suggest you consult your lawyer as to the best option for your husband to be. Since your PD is Dec 2005, there is a possibility that you will be current on the May VB. If this happens, then NVC might request for an updated DS230 on April (which means you are still single at that time and cannot include your husband). You have two options if you become current on the May VB. First, delay updating your DS230 until after you get married(not advisable since we do not know when the VB dates will move backward again...this option may delay you again for years). Or option 2...update your DS230 as single and just petition your husband afterwards(you'll just have to sacrifice being apart from your husband for a couple of years). Or you have another option...see if your husband can get a student visa, go to the US as a student(might incur additional cost to you), and petition him from there that way he can wait for the approval of the petition there. A friend of mine did this(his wife is a green card and he is on a student visa).
But better consult your lawyer as to the best option to take.

You can't just apply for AOS for your husband, there is no visas to adjust. If you add him once you have PR then you are looking at a few years before he can join you in the US
