NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Just got my fee bill. Unfortunately, I have to send the bank draft to a P.O. box address in Missouri. Has anybody (from the Philippines) tried sending it through the Philippine post office, express mail service, specifically? How long did it take?

I was thinking of Fedex-ing it to my mom-in-law in CA then she'll be the one to send it on to NVC through the USPS.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

hello to everyone..I just called the NVC today and message was...

Visa for this case still unavailable. We will contact petitioner once the case already current.

Does it mean..processing for my case already finished and I am already documentarily qualified ,just waiting for visa to be available??

comments anyone.....thanks and God bless

hi guys. after the roller coaster ride, i still ended up in a bad situation. i guess this is the end of it for now. and god knows when it'll come. maybe i should start collecting all i have resubmitted since it gonna expire next year anyway. here's what i recieved from my email just now.

your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).

unfortunately, this case no longer has a visa number available. this is because the applicant' visa category is oversubscribed, meaning that the available numerical limit of visas able to be issued was reached. upon reaching the numerical limit of visas able to be issued, only beneficiaries who have a priority date earlier than listed in the current visa bulletin may be allotted a visa number in this visa category.

the priority date is the date when the petition was filed at a department of homeland security (dhs) office or submitted to an embassy or consulate abroad. in employment immigration the priority date may be the date the labor certification application was received by the department of labor (dol). you may call (202) 663-1541 or visit our website at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi_bulletin.html for priority dates currently being processed.

the beneficiary should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up his/her employment until he/she has actually received a visa from the us embassy or consulate general. when this case becomes eligible to begin processing again, any unexpired fees previously submitted to the national visa center will be applied to the case. the national visa center will notify you when further action is required.

Fruity,I think the NVC response is referring to the unavailability of visa for this fiscal year.I hope something good will happen in oct .Dont lose hope...Prayers can make it happen....

Fruity,I think the NVC response is referring to the unavailability of visa for this fiscal year.I hope something good will happen in oct .Dont lose hope...Prayers can make it happen....

Yes, I believe in the Power of Prayers... I think the message from the NVC will not change until PD becomes current or is about to become current. I also called automated voice reponse of NVC and just the same "no visa...etc..". The funny thing is that this is the same position I am into before all the request for updated ds230 and the VB fiasco happened. There are no right words to describe what I feel at the moment..... But thanks for trying to lift up my spirit. God Bless us all.

Fruity,I think the NVC response is referring to the unavailability of visa for this fiscal year.I hope something good will happen in oct .Dont lose hope...Prayers can make it happen....

No, not really. It is referring to what is the current cut-off date on the Visa Bulletin for the country of birth. PH, and other charge-ability areas has a current cut-off date of Aug.1, 2002. This means that all applicants w/ PDs later than that cut-off date is not valid for further processing as stated from NVC's reply unless the cut-off dates moves forward to the applicant's PD or becomes "Current". I agree, though that we shouldn't loose hope. Only way things will get better is if there will be a legislation to give additional visas specifically for nurses just like they did in May, 2005. Let's hope something happens this Sept. when the US Congress re-convenes.

my case at nvc is now complete. I submitted the missing document (passport) first week of august and my case was completed on august 15...God bless us all!

Hi monroe,we just completed our lacking document(passports and new employment offer) last aug 18,2007.Have you receive your visa? Are we affected with the retrogression? We must continue to pray for our visa issuance soon and be in the US this 2007.
