I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

hi guys! it's been a few days already and no updates on any of us. it makes me sad when i see this thread inactive. this is my fave thread. anyway, just got an email form the nvc, though i know that there is very very very very little chance for an interview, this email gave me so much happiness today. just want to share it with you.
your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).
the applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily
qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers under the
numerical limitations prescribed by statute. the designated
representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will
be
notified of an appointment date as soon as the numbers have been
received. the applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell
property, or give up employment until the us embassy or consulate
general has issued a visa.
an immigrant visa is usually valid for six months from the date it is
issued. it may be used to apply for admission into the united states
any
time during its validity.

Just to let everyone know, my file for NVC has been put on hold by my lawyer due to the fiasco of July 07. To say I am gutted is putting it mildly but can't do anything else They are waiting to see what happens in October. If my account is still showing they are waiting for lawyer to send in a month's time may ask them to consider it

Maybe you did'nt write the correct format when sending them email, did you put your case number on the "Subject" of the email? The name of the petitioner and the beneficiary's name must also be written on the letter. or maybe you change you email address that's why it didn't match in their records.

If you've forwarded it to your lawyer several times, there isn't much excuse from him not to know.
