I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

You need to provide birth certificates and a a marriage certificate to be able to inlcude any dependents with your DS230.

Reason being, not eveyone includes their dependents with them for some reason or another, and figure that they will folow soon after, but that is not the case.

Processing will not begin for you until all payments are received as they will be included with your visa.

Just wondering, when does NVC determine who and how many dependents you'll have? Would they know that after I have submitted my DS230 or even before then?

If it's after submission of Packet 3, does that mean payments for immigrant visa fee for the dependents I have included should follow or payments should be included once I have submitted my DS230? Thanks.

u have to pay before they can issue the DS-230 forms...in my case i paid the visa fees, affidavit of support and legal fees of my dependents around $3350 (a hubby and 2 kids)...now im just waiting for the DS-230 forms to arrive...

at first i dont know what's NVC case number...but a month after USCIS approval, i tried writing an e-mail to NVC asking my case status..I gave them my Receipt NUmber: WAC05xxxxxxxx..then after 2 days, i received a reply from NVC with its subject: MNL2005xxxxxxx...so i guess that's my case number...:p

why did u asked Dale?... am I facing another problem?...:uhoh21:

Hi thanks for your reply. After NVC received my DS230 I was told by NVC that all they need to complete my case is the payment for my dependent's (husband) immigrant visa fee. Last night I got an email from my employer saying that they have paid for it a week ago. They also submitted my husband's DS230.

To some of you who had the same experience as mine, when do you think will I be scheduled for interview or when do you think will my case be completed? Am I close or it's still a long way to go? :uhoh3:

Next you have medical and interview to do next.. Should be just a couple of months.:wink2:

after Ds230 has recieved, you allow 4 to 6 wks:crying2: for your case be reviewed, then wait for 2 to 3 mos. :angryfirefor your medical and interview.....your close!!!!:) :rotfl:

No problem at all. I am just monitoring other cases. Just wanted to find out how fast USCIS and NVC works on cases.
