embassy interview thursday

hi folks

just thought i would say, i ill not be online for a few days as im off to london for my interview which is at 10am on thursday.

5 hours in the car with a fractured bum bone- yes i fell down the stairs on sunday and fractured it, i have to be honest its probably the worse pain i have ever felt

mind you, at least it takes my mind off the stress

will let you all know how i go

I'll pray for your success! My tinterview will be next month. Just tell me how long is the interview, the queue, fingerprinting/scanning, size of cubicle during interview. What did the consul asked you? About SMS? etc... Just eager to know all those things. Regards & good luck

Hi you dont go into a cubicle you stand at a window a bit like you do at the post office and they talk to you for a few mins you go sit down and then they call you back later. They dont really ask you anything.

You take a ticket when you get insude the Embassy and they call your number and tell you which window to go to.

Dont go to the Embassy more than an hour before your time as they dont let you in til the time, and it is freezing to stand in the street.

Well we just got back from the embassy & were on cloud 9:w00t:

We had big grins on our faces all the way home, some how it dosen't seem real.

It was fantastic to see you there Gater!:icon_hug: so glad it's all over now.

I'm not getting the champagne out though untill we get the passports & visa's in our hands:biere:, OK may be I'll have to have just one bottle tonight.

Let me know how you got on GW.

not really, we were denied due to some of our documents being incorrect, this is despite the documents all being checked by my agent, as we have sent photocopies of everything to them, i suppose even the experts cant account for embassy officials!

just feel upset really, we are trying to fix the error by obtaining new, certifed copies of the documents but to be honest, i feel like i have had enough of the whole thing, retrogression will probably delay us further, and i am a bit fed up that this could have been sorted out quite simply beforehand if anyone had noticed.

so, sorry but cant say i feel chatty at the moment to be honest

oh, and the taxi broke down on the way back from the embassy, just to round off the perfect day

You mean if my actual interview is 10:00am, should I be there in a queue about 09:00 am? You mean they even don't have a shed just in case it rains or snows? Sounds hard! Thanks for advice!

i wouldnt even go that early as you will just be waiting in a queue turn up about 15 minutes before that should be fine.

it was interesting to see the security around the embassy, concrete barricades to stop vehicles being driven into the building, security fences, police with machine guns!!

dont take perfume as you will have to throw it in the bin or post it back to yourself as it is not allowed in the building, infact no liquids are but you can buy drinks and sandwiches in there

no cameras, they must be left at the entrance but you get them back on the way out, no phones are allowed to be switched on.

Did you bring all your originals as well as photocopies? How many copies did you submit? Does it need to be authenticated?

no, please dont stress, it was an original that wasnt up to scratch, i took photocopies of everything with me too as they say which were fine. your photcopies do not have to be authenticated
