Navel hurt like crazy, nipples were UNBELIEVABLY painful, tongue actually was not that bad. You just have to sit absolutely still so they don't get the artery. All of my piercings(except for ears) are gone now, although I'm thinking of getting the tongue redone. You are braver than I am. :chair: I think the navel and tongue would hurt like Hell.
I don't have any tatoos. I don't mind seeing them on other people though...some of them are pretty, some interesting...some funny. I think I am not getting one just because I would probably get bored of it after a while...also thinking that if I put some weight on (maybe getting pregnant one day hehe) then it would look distorted... I don't really mind the idea of being 80 and having these tatoos ...who cares then, you've been popular and hip while it mattered, right? But yea, as I said, I would get bored of it after a while so then what's the point. I can just look at pretty pictures or other people's tatoos...probably not going to have one any time soon.
I have a horse on my hip that only my hubby sees, and - guess what - a fleur-de-lis on my ankle! It is covered by scrubs, and I always wear knee hi socks so it won't show if I cross my legs. I will probably end up with more, it is true that they are addictive, but out of respect for the varying tastes of my patients I will make sure none are visible when in uniform!
i unfortunately don't have any tattoos yet. But i'm just trying to decide on the exact design i want. I do however have my ears pierced 13 times (7 in my left, and 6 in my right) As well as my nose. All of which i wear at work, and i've never had a patient say anything bad about my piercings, they actually work quite well as conversation starters

i have 4, newest one just on wednesday, a heart on rt of neck just below hairline.
a frog on rt ankle, chinese symbol on spine 1/2 way up my back i want to cover now. and my favorite, a partial ring of ivy above the chinese. it was freehanded, and i've had more compliments on it than anything. i got that one and so did my friends after we passed our grueling i.v. therapy course.
