I hate to admit it, but I actually miss his posts...
They were quite entertaining.
His posts were incredibly entertaining ... very well written too as they were highly descriptive ("imagine you're on the floor ... alarms going off, people yelling to and fro ..."). One starts reading and then BAM! A curveball (it's a freaking code situation and he leaves for his 15 minute break)

I guess that's a good example of being non-caring. I don't know about being shallow, though.
When I did my career aptitude test my highest scoring categories were: shallowness, non-caring and attractiveness. My high school guidance counsellor quickly urged me to apply for nursing school. He thought the combination of the sexy uniform and the potential to meet plastic surgeons that could be potential husbands (ie. Hello freebies!), would be a perfect fit for me. Do I spend half my Paycheque at Sephora? Yes. But I'm not too worried about it as this won't be a problem once I meet my McSteamy.
In summary, are all nurses shallow? No. Are a great number of nurses sarcastic and salty? YOU BETCHA
