Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, this is ridiculous. The person I spoke with in Oklahoma told me I had to call the San Diego office, so I did, and the woman who answered told me.....are you sitting down?.......TWO MORE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! :angryfire When I pointed out that it's already been 7 and they told us 6-8, she said HOPEFULLY by Thanksgiving. I'm thinking maybe the person I talked to just doesn't know.....?

i will tell you why this isn't ok - consider that you are accepted. there is CPR certifiction you need to complete, there are a series of vaccinations that need to be done, some a serial set with waiting time in between, there are college loans that need to be secured... all this takes time and planning to complete.......

I checked in and was told "two weeks" and it depends on "when the letters arrive" and she has no way of knowing when that will be. At this point I don't know who to ask! Two weeks would be a full week past the 8 weeks we've been told.

Seriously! I'm just dying to know how it can possibly take so long to fill 72 spots out of 140 applicants using a standard GPA-based formula. I wonder what they have been talking about in their meetings. Anyway...I'm going to have sign off and not let myself check email again until I've written an English paper I have to turn in 5 hours from now, so good luck to everyone this afternoon!

Maybe they are waiting for the letters to arrive from OK so that they can e-mail everyone then mail them out? I'm also hoping that the two week comments are just because they are being harassed with phone calls from impatient people like all of us! Who knows, I just hope it is soon. It is really starting to drive me crazy...Lets keep our fingers crossed that it is at least before Thanksgiving.

Well I e-mailed OK to ask when the open house is scheduled for because my boyfriend and I are trying to plan a visit with his family at the beginning of December. I was told the open house is scheduled for December 4th which is in exactly two weeks.... so we must be finding out sooner than that!

Wow! I thought it would be later than that. I'm going away for Thanksgiving -- fortunately we fly back December 3rd!

I was reading previous pages of this thread and some of you said that you took micro and ap online?

Does OU accept these type of classes?

Just wondering because online would be kind of nice so I don't have to drive to school (bad traffic here).

I took them online...very convenient. I love it online. Yes, it's nice to be studying at home...I have 2 small kids and took 2 A&P classes and micro online in 1 semester and got 2 As and a B. Good luck!
