University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was reading previous pages of this thread and some of you said that you took micro and ap online?

Does OU accept these type of classes?

Just wondering because online would be kind of nice so I don't have to drive to school (bad traffic here).

Regarding the online classes, I received a list of approved classes from a counselor. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore. Maybe they can send it to you.

Yes, OU does accept some online science courses. I would e-mail them for the list of acceptable schools to go through (online) though, since I have heard that they might have made some changes. The only course I took online was micro because all of the sections here were full here for the summer by the time I could sign up. It was nice, but much more expensive... About $950 plus the lab supplies ($300-ish) compared to the $100 it would have been at a local CC. I took mine through CCC online.

thank you for your answers everyone ....I am also interested in taking cclasses online...do you mind telling us how Micro was at CCC online? were the labs difficult ? did you find having time to look through your book during the exam?I am asking because I can decide if I should take it at rio or ccconline

I liked CCC online. There was time to look through the book if you really didn't know an answer, but you still needed to be prepared for the exam to do well on it. The labs really weren't bad either. You buy the lab kit and microscope and you pretty much have everything that you need. I thought the grading was very fair on the labs and took into consideration that you are doing everything on your own. I don't know anything about rio, but I would recommend CCC online.

What was the rest of the email? are you in?!!?!

The rest of the email just says that the Glendale office has changed locations and gives the address, directions & phone#s. I'm still waiting!!
