University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe they are waiting for the letters to arrive from OK so that they can e-mail everyone then mail them out? I'm also hoping that the two week comments are just because they are being harassed with phone calls from impatient people like all of us! Who knows, I just hope it is soon. It is really starting to drive me crazy...Lets keep our fingers crossed that it is at least before Thanksgiving.

I'm also very impatient and very anxiously waiting for that e-mail. I dont have a plan B yet. I hate to see bad news. If I dont get in, I will cry. :cry: Two weeks is a long time especially when we are in the waiting mode. Keep those fingers crossed...

I don't think we will be hearing anything today. I was basically told that only 25 decisions have been made for San Diego and about 5 for Glendale so far. She sent those 30 letters out this morning, but knows nothing about e-mail notification at this point either. I just e-mailed and asked if we will be receiving e-mails this time around so I'll let you all know when I get a response. I'm trying so hard not to get frustrated, but I just want to know! :madface:

Thank you so much for making phone calls for us...That's real slow...I wonder if the 25 decisions are all accepted or both. That means we will have to wait til the first week of December, but hopefully next week.

Ack! Thanks for calling! I'm leaving for vacation on Monday and won't be able to check my mail until December 3rd. If they don't send emails or call, I'm going to be insufferable! Especially when you all start saying you got your acceptance letters.

Well I e-mailed OK to ask when the open house is scheduled for because my boyfriend and I are trying to plan a visit with his family at the beginning of December. I was told the open house is scheduled for December 4th which is in exactly two weeks.... so we must be finding out sooner than that!

For the Fall 2008 cohort, we got our emails 5 days before the scheduled open house. I know it doesn't leave much time in between, its just how it works. When you get in, you'll just have to get used to it, everything is ever changing and you'll almost feel like you don't ever know what's going on. :)

I know it stinks to wait... but good luck everyone!:D

Hey everyone. Well I received a return email that said that the decisions will be coming US mail. I don't really understand why they would have just changed that. Oh well, guess we just have to keep on waiting!

Nope... the only text in her e-mail to me was "US mail."

I guess we know that some were sent by ------- on Friday. I identified myself last time I called her so I don't want to make a call again so soon. She is the one doing the mailing though, so if you feel like making the call go for it :up: Otherwise maybe I'll follow up with her on Wednesday.
