Have you ever heard or said that to a family member?
whats the weirdest thing someone has brought for you or your staff to eat?
I think the sickest thing was a patient brought some balout, the duck eggs........Well its sick to me anyways.......
We had a patient overnight some white castle burgers one time.........
like cream of wheat, only corn- not wheat. like oatmeal, only corn- not oat. it's a hot cereal. Grits are delicious, salt, butter, pepper, cheese, gravy, canned bulk sausage, red-eye gravy, etc. GRITS SHOULD never EVER be eaten with sugar and milk...unless yer just plain weird. J/K, some like sweet grits.
We have a new nurse, from another country who eats this fish head soup every day for lunch. I know different cultures eat different things, but its the most foulest smelling stuff ive ever smelled. It fills the hall with an powerful rotten fish odor.
Can we tell her not to bring that anymore? I think its somewhat inappropriate due to its powerful smell. Nobody really knows what to do about this. We dont want to offend her or upset her by mentioning it. What do you do in this situation?
One nurse where I used to work brought in brownies. One of the other nurses grabbed one, took a big bite, and then she said (and I am not making this up)
"Aren't they good? I made them with my breast milk."
The nurse who was eating them promptly vomited in the garbage can. No one has ever eaten anything she brought in since.

I like White Castle's too.
Kimchi
I am not a cabbage person, nor a terribly spicy person. After my DH took a few trips to Korea and he told me how they made kimchi it kind of turned me off.
