I've seen a lot of my nurse friends on Facebook sharing a link from mysavings.com saying Dunkin Donuts is giving nurses free coffee starting this week.
I decided to go to their official Facebook page and saw this:
I guess finding out now is better than a lot of us waltzing into DD and asking for our free coffee.

They just dropped a huge PR potential right there. They could have taken the opportunity to be "You know it started as a rumor and we fully support it so yes we plan to honor it"How awesome would that have been.
It's also a good marketing idea. How many people are going into a DD, get a free coffee, and not buy a doughnut? I know I would.

I'd bet money that this is the cause for the confusion/problem: people think of it as a national chain, all owned by one entity, so one policy!
Hard to know which stores are franchises.....a friend of mine used to own/operate an Annie's Pretzels (Aunt Annie's? don't recall). Anyway, he was frustrated because he had to adhere to tons of policies in order to keep the franchise, but was encouraged to 'make it his own'. How?
