We all know pets are great for reducing the physical side effects of stress.
What furry creatures await you after a long and terrible shift?
This is my pup. She's 2. Border collie and lab. If you have an obsession with mopping (excited pee-er), digging things out of a dog's mouth, and just generally never having nice things again, she's the dog for you! I will give her this - when my shift swings, she sleeps when I sleep without any trouble.
We have 2 kitties. One of them is soooo addicted to sleeping in bed with us that she gets up in the morning to be fed when my husband wakes up. When I get home from work a half hour later, she starts crying for me to go to bed so she can snuggle! She gets under the covers, faces me, & kneads my arm or leg until we both fall asleep. She's way more effective than sleeping pills!
I'm going to have to put my gray boy on a diet. My daughter weighed him the other day and he was 22 pounds! His brother weighs 9!
I've never had an obese cat before. Does anyone know any good cat foods for weight loss? He is a weird cat and will not touch canned food or regular meat. He is dry food only (or crunchy as it is known in our house).
This baby girl awaits me everyday! She's adapted very well to my erratic schedule! Love her! She's looking out onto the main road at all the sights and sounds! She's a great nearly 8 month old!
My dog HATES riding in the car. She wimpers and freaks out the whole time! It is obnoxious!
I always get a bit envious when I see dogs riding along with their heads hanging out the window and the look of sheer doggie delight on their wind swept faces!

We also have an obese cat. The vet recommended Hills Science diet. They have one for weight loss but you can only get it at the vet's office. It's about $35 for an 8 pound bag! I don't remember what the flavor was but our girl turned her nose up at it & wouldn't eat one single bite.
I can't explain it. It's a reflexive type thing that I can't control. Like I can't get out all the affection I have for the object I am loving on so I release the energy by grinding my teeth. My hypothesis, anyway. It's not like a loud gnashing of the teeth. More like a clenching of the jaw.Alright. I sound SUPER weird now.
This just made me like you more.
