I live in an FHA funded housing apt. Since the new government regulations have taken effect, we (all seniors and disabled people who live on fixed incomes) are now being charged for anything that's damaged. My dishwasher panel (a tiny strip that comens with adhesive on the back of it) was replaced today. I have been charged $36.81 for that thing. Here we are, the poor people now paying for items we did't have to pay for in the past since this president took office all because a budget hasn't yet been put in place. I can't stand Mr Obama or his wife. The sooner they get out the better.

Good grief...this is the first time I have ever heard Obama blamed for dishwasher repair.

While this is very off-topic, your hate might be misplaced. If you are upset because of "a budget hasn't yet been put in place", you need to look at Congress. They are responsible for the budget approval process.

On-topic: I believe this has very little to do with the ACA. Like BlueDevil said, the ACA is just being used mainly as a catch-all for anything healthcare related that needs to be done. I know my local hospital is currently going through the same stuff (even with the same amount of blame on the ACA when most people don't even know what the bill includes...yay.)

You can't reason with haters. They have to hate, one way or another.

You may find yourself in much worse straits if a Reep president follows.

Do you really think that people like Paul Ryan, working with a Reep House of Reps, wouldn't have funding for programs like FHA housing on their whack lists?

I'm no fan of the current administration but I fear a drastic shift to the right will decimate people like yourself.

So you blame this POTUS for the rank crap that people with money do to you in order to preserve their piece of the pie.

Good for you, the next step in this process is to step up to the camera, open your mouth and say; BAAAAH.

I am embarrassed to say that I live in NC. The bottom of the barrel theses days. The Rep gov is the one that turned down the Medicaid money and now has all but shut down the abortion facilities. It is not ACA that has gotten this state and this country in trouble. It is the seemingly never ending sequester that is still going on because Congress would rather "beat" Obama than actually rub one or two brain cells together. I ost my job as a teacher here in NC a few years ago because I was over educated. I certainly would have lost my job this year if I had stayed.

49th in the country for education, yet we have some of the top universities in the country. I guess they don't want NC students to be able to go. I guess they would rather have the (higher) out of state tuition (now they don't have to worry about these kids voting in our state anymore, either). SO messed up and it has nothing to do with Obama. The cuts made at our facility are all b/c of a rep gov and a rep state congress.

I'm not an Obama fan, nor a fan of any other politician for that matter; however, I don't see how having to pay for something that you damaged is a non-fair policy. Very few landlords around here will fix a dishwasher or a washer/dryer; they are considered non-essential items and the tenant is responsible for maint. When my dishwasher broke, I had to go without one for two months until I could afford to go buy a new one. It's called life...

Truth to tell in many areas of the United States hospitals have been "ill" for sometime, Obamacare if anything merely brought out the rash.

Between reforms/leaning on private insurers and cuts to reimbursement rates for federal programs while also becoming very aggressive on fraud and waste, facilities are finding they can no longer run game to make their money, so something has to give.

Add to this the financial upheavals of many states and local areas the usual rescue for financially strapped hospitals, taxpayer funds are often scarce to nil. Here in NYC the very visible proof was when Saint Vincent's shut down. Normally to save such a historic facility NYS and or NYC would have found a way to scrape up funding, but not no more. Ditto for North General, and Long Island College Hospital.

I’m sure your situation would be a lot better if a Republican were president. You know, one of those Republicans who seeks to eliminate the very programs you live off of.

Also, the repair you had done was cosmetic. There is no reason why you shouldn’t have to pay for it.

Totally Obama's fault. After all, FHA funding would be gone with a Republican in office, so you'd be homeless. That would be much better than paying to fix a dishwasher.
