RECIPROCITY to California - RN Graduate from the PHILIPPINES

World Registration

Hello all,

I am a BSN graduate from the Philippines, and an RN there and in New York.

I'm sure you guys know that international BSN graduates has not been getting through the California BRN since year 2010, because of the issue that foreign graduates (esp. from the Philippines) lack units during our college / Nursing years. This said, I know zero of my colleagues who applied to take the NCLEX got their ATT, since o'10.

I recently applied to have my license in New York endorsed to California, and noted that one requirement they had is that I must provide my college transcripts from where I graduated (again, in the Philippines).

I am currently in CA, but I am thinking to just move to New York, if I am only waiting for my application to get rejected because I lack units, or cases/caseloads.

I'm looking for someone with the same case I am in, or who was in the same case.. Please help me, should I just go to New York? :( :( :(

Thank you Dean!!!

Hi! I wanted to ask if there's anybody here who's had their Florida RN endorsed to California? I graduated from the Philippines and because of the concurrency issue, I didn't try to apply to California anymore and instead applied in Florida. I passed and moved here in Florida and got a job at a level 1 trauma hosp in Tampa. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy here so I sent an application to endorse my license in California which I know they will deny and ask me to take classes. I got ahead of myself and called a community college nearby if they accept students to just take 1 or 2 classes that I am deficient in instead of having to take the entire RN program and they said yes, they do accept students like that. I'm still waiting for CA BON's response as to what classes im deficient in sp i could take those classes right away but i just wanted to know if any of you ever took a deficient class here in Florida?

I wouldn't waste time California is burttle when it come to foreign graduates espically when it come to the Philippines due to all the fraud in which they have caught over the past recent years! They board has really been forcusing on the Philippines í ¼í·µí ¼í· and looking at each application and the school nursing circulum! I recommend applying at lease a year in advance due to the board processing time, it's still not a guarantee but atlease you're getting the process started!

The California BRN is very strick, the look at the entire curcirculm they will let you know where you case studies fall short the majority is in pediatrics and OB nursing cases! Therefore the make you reduce the Peds and OB component due to the lack of clinical case studies practice hours! My recommendation is to await the Education evaluation before taking in classes you don't want to waste time or money!

Hi, I need some advise or sort of.. I graduated BSN last 2007 back in the Philippines. I was wondering if I could still use my degree here in the USA and take the test as a LVN. I am not an RN in the Philippines. I came to the US last 2015. and I am currently working as a CNA and wanted to upgrade my status or my career here in california. Im Still figuring things out.. Hoping anyone can give me advise so I can have Idea on where to start. Thank you very much..

Good Day!

I am a BSN Graduate in the Philippines and I did not take the local board exam but I am already a Registered Nurse in New York. I wished to work in California, are they still going to look for my RN License in the Philippines?

Hello,

I am from the Philippines.

I took and passed the NCLEX exam last 2010, my state was California, i wasn't able to process my license since they require an SSN.

Is it still possible to transfer my score to another US state where an SSN is not required? Could someone help me how? Do i need to re-apply?

I want to activate my license. Appreciate if you could help me with this guys.

Thank you

You have no license to endorse so usual process is application by exam and arrange for NCLEX results to be forwarded
