  1. Hi Kay! So I've read that you're a foreign student. Got license from Texas and trying to endorse your license to California which is my exact situation right now. We're you able to endorse your license to California eventually? Or did they still require you to take nclex again?
  2. Hi guys!! Any new endorsing your licenses from other states to CA? I also graduated from Philippines and now an RN here at Texas. I'm thinking of going back to CA and i know this will not be easy as I'm a foreign graduate. Anyone who finally got license in CA by endorsement? Thanks
  3. hi mbaseyscott! congratulations on passing your pccn. i am currently starting on reviewing for this exam too, so what reviewer did you use that helped you a lot?
  4. Hey cj25! Nope, i wasn't able to take the nclex there in cali.. So I decided to move here in texas. I took nclex here and now an RN. I'm working here for more than a year now. I think Cali BON still has the same requirements for taking nclex at this time coz i just heard from someone recently and they are requiring her to complete the whole nursing program now.
  5. Thanks for the info! :)
  6. Thank you ma'am... í ½í¸„ Coz a friend of mine who had been working here for years said my starting rate should be atleast $29-32. And $26 is for a newly graduate. Oh well, maybe it depends on facilities. I'm already excited to accept this job offer, just a bit hesitant about the pay.
  7. Hey all! I got a job offer here in San ANtonio as a RN - Telemetry Floor. I am a foreign graduate and had 3 years of experience abroad. Is $26 per hour a reasonable rate? This would be my first job here in Texas and I really don't have an idea about the appropriate rates for RNs. Thanks all! :)
  8. Hi there! Thanks! :) I've found Hurst very good too because i did their free trial.. I love how they explained and made things simple to understand. Others said if you don't like reading too much, Hurst is a good try.. they got lots of videos that you can watch instead! But I didn't take it coz it was a bit pricey.. And a friend of mine took it but didn't pass. She passed with the NCSBN, that's why i tried it instead. Much more cheaper too than other reviews. NCSBN is very good in content, although you have to be really patient with reading because there are lots and lots to read.. For me, NCSBN, KAplan Qbank and SAunders were enough. I've read delegations and prioritation by LA charity too which you can just google or search in quizlet. And someone from allnurses.com too sent me the KAplan question trainers 1-7.. I remember i did 1-3 and 6-7.. i didn't finish all, i ran out of time... If you want i can email them to you. Those were the last reviews i did plus the Qbank before i took the exam and i think it helped me. Good luck on your exam! =)
  9. Thank you Rose! That's what i am thinking too. I've done my research too online and i have learned that some hospitals still wants you to undergo their training which is a minimum of as u said 6mos. So i was thinking, maybe i can apply even without experience because i will be trained anyway.. Haha! But well, i think every special area needs applicants with experience.. I don't know. But yeah, i needed to get my foot in the facility first and maybe apply as an internal applicant. Thanks a lot!
  10. Hi guys!! I recently passed my NCLEX and now i'm thinking of applying a job and being in the OR area. I graduated from the Philippines and also has experience in Saudi Arabia as a general staff nurse. Is there a way I can apply for an OR position? I mean I know I don't have an experience in the OR but I really am interested in that field. Do hospitals here (Texas) accept applicants without experience but should undergo their training? I am also thinking of enrolling in a perioperative nursing course to get a certificate, will that help? Thanks guys!
  11. Yup it did help! Although it was more on a lot of reading actually.. It was stressful but worth it.. it really helps when you're poor in core content.. A friend of mine actually used Hurst on her first attempt on nclex and failed. The 2nd time, she used ncsbn and passed in 75! So she recommended it to me. But kaplan qbank i say is very good too.. And uworld! 😊
  12. Hello world!! I decided to write here about my nclex experience because this website has really helped me since the day i was still applying for licensure (as i am an international graduate), i really learned a lot from here and hope that in a way i can help others too.. I am so thankful and happy beyond words at the moment! I finally sat my nclex and passed on first attempt! While waiting for my ATT, i purchased NCSBN review 8weeks although i finished it earlier in 6wks and fortunately got my ATT around that time (last week of July) then i told myself maybe i needed another month to study and decided to purchase Kaplan qbank to practice more on questions and did all of them for the whole month of August.. I reviewed my notes the first days of September. And while searching the internet, i came across this uWorld review and decided to do and try their 1week free trial a week b4 my exam! And i find it great.. Every answer had rationales and i loved the pictures and how well each questions and answers were explained. I did three 75questions exams and scored 60s. I didn't have much time to finish my free trial and also i decided not to read anymore and relax on the day before my exam (sept.10). During my exam, i got a lot of SATAS, 1 math, no drag n drops, no pictures.. Lot of delegations & prioritizations.. That's what I remember so far.. :) After 48hrs i did the quick results and yay!! I passed! I was soo relieved! God is good! I did it! So can you guys! Hope this helps.. And don't forget... PRAY! Good luck!
  13. Hi there! I recently talked to somebody via email and according to this person, Saudi Commission is already back to their old ways of filling up the VOL form which is much easier than the Certificate of Good Standing process. So cheer up! :) You can go to http://www.scfhs.org.sa there is a number that you can call to confirm and well to ask for the further instructions. Anyway, if you still need the letter, I'llsend it to you once you gave me ur email address.. Goodluck!
  14. Hello! Congratulations!! Happy for you.. Please can you email me the study guide, medication summary and KAplan Nclex trainer you said you can email? That would be much appreciated. My email is [email protected] I will be taking the exam soon too.. So scared but I'm hopeful to pass like you did.. Thanks! :)
  15. Hi guys! Just want to update.. After more than a month of waiting and frequent calls to SCFHS, finally I got a notification from CGFNS that they have received my Certificate of Good Standing from Saudi Commission. Now I am just waiting for the final report to be released to BON and while waiting i decided to start with the nclex rn review. Hope everything goes well this time. Good luck to all of our coming endeavors!
