Nurse, Madonna, and waitress??

Just wondering how many of you got the impression that too much of the general public's view of nurses seems unrealistically high or on the other side, they treat us with the same disdain as gum on the bottom of one's shoe. Not patients, more like visitors or in social circles.

I think it's sad that anyone actually thinks selling one's body, being degraded to the status of a masturbatory aid for money.....would be someone's choice.

Not everyone puts sex on a pedestal. Humans are primal animals. I think it's sad someone could be so judgmental.

I've felt for a very long time, that I am all of the above. Sometimes, I think "registered waitress".. would cover it.

Madonna is an excellent analogy."Madonna" is a medieval Italian term for a noble or otherwise important woman,Thinking in our culture.. it is a mother figure.

I know, I am always my patient's nurse.

I can't worry about the public opinion.. they either get it, or they don't.

I had a dream we were working on a cruise ship wearing roller skates and holding waitress trays on our shoulders skating around a dining room asking....
