2020 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Hey people! I've been interested in the HRSA Nurse Corps Loan repayment program for several years, just never took the time to apply. I am full-time nurse faculty in an BSN program. For those who have applied before:

1. When does the cycle usually open? ( I have signed up for updates)

2. How do you calculate your DTI? (This is all new to me?)

Thanks for your responses. Hopefully we can kick some student loan debt in the butt!! I'm excited and haven't even applied yet! Blessings to you all!

My federal loan data did not populate automatically, and so I am working to enter it manually. Does anyone know how to get the NSLDS data sheet? I found it online but it's a very unorganized looking document, and just wondering if that's the case for anyone else entering federal loans manually?

I need the answer to that question. Where in particular were you able to find it?Can anybody help us out? Thanks!

My federal loans would not populate when I was using safari on my Mac; I then opened up firefox and all my information populated appropriately.

Thank you so much! This worked. BUT I couldn't do it on my Mac. I had to upload firefox onto my iphone, then upload my loans, then go back to my computur to upoad the supporting documents. But definitely worth the work, all set.

Awesome!

Hello, I have applied as well. Good luck to everyone.

RN-HPSA 17, D/I 180%-I applied, my loans did not upload automatically, I did my best to enter manually, but I assume I messed up, likely making me ineligible. The portal shows only my application number at this time. It seems like the past years I applied, I received a credit check by this time.

Is this what everyone is seeing?

I had that problem too. Had to input manually. This is my first time applying. Did they give you reason for denial of awards in past?

So far I see my application number and "under review" for status.

Hey everyone! First time applicant here. Application status has been “under review” for quite some time now, is this a bad sign? When do people start getting updates?

It will be under review up until September normally. You will probably have a credit check in July. Notifications start going out around that time but as late as September. (in a non COVID world so the timeline might be delayed)

Right. I'd imagine it would take a bit longer with everything going on. Best thing is wait patiently!?
