2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Hi all,

I've been reading up on the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program and looks like in past years, threads have been started for the yearly application process. I'll be applying as a Staff RN (non-faculty) working at a DSH with an HPSA Score of 16. Not sure of my DTI percentage yet. Hoping to connect with others that will be applying to the program next month and we can all share our updates here. Best of luck to everyone!

It sounds like Nurse Corps is still under review for everyone. Eek!

I did not get a second employment verification either, starting to make me worry now!

So is there a second employment verification? I didn't know this ... I only had one verification back when I originally completed my application.

Did the others who were rewarded get an additional employment verification?

I'm hopeful we can hear from additional recipients to see if the employment verification was done prior to getting the finalist email!

This is the email I received on Jun 12 at 8:34 AM....this is after the deadline for application/submission of information. HRSA initiated this. I had no idea that further verification was being done after the deadline until I received this email. Also, in the portal under my site employment verification, the most recent verification is now listed with this date instead of the initial date of submission with my application a few months ago.

Your Employment Verification for ________________________________ has been completed by your site POC.

was this for the NHSC or the loan repayment?

Looks the people that have been awarded so far are for the NHSC and not the nurse corp loan repayment program from what I can tell. I followed this last year and those awarded for the NCLRP never mentioned having a second employment verification.

Good morning, I received confirmation yesterday (07/18) that I am now an award recipient and now a "Participant" not an "applicant." I'm so grateful and sending up a prayer that everyone else gets good news soon.

Awesome!!! I got my confirmation of interest 2 weeks after you got yours so I'm hoping I follow suite with the actual participant status! Congrats!!! So happy for you.

Do you have a countersignature already if you click on your contract in the portal or no?
