2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program
Does anyone know if, after all is said and done, if I email HRSA, would they tell me what they found my DTI to be (I also need to look up what my site score is because I don't remember). I'd just like to get some clarification on why my application wasn't eligible, so I know whether to keep trying, or stop looking down this route all together

2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program
I know someone who applied for the loan repayment, then consolidated the loans. She says her credit was checked, so I'm wondering if the consolidation was done after the application, if it would bear any difference in her outcome (but I told her that she may not have received the loan repayment anyways, so whatever!)

When your DTI ratio is figured out, are sign-on bonuses included? For instance, I had a $10k sign on bonus, but I hope it's not necessarily included in my gross yearly salary. This is my first time applying as an PMHNP, credit checked on Equifax on 04/20...can't remember what my facility's score was. I also can't remember how much money is dispersed. Is the NHSC program the one where they give you 60% for a 2 year agreement, and then an additional 25% for another year? That seems too good to be true! And is it correct that if you consolidate your nursing school loans with non-nursing loans, then it makes it all ineligible? Because that just seems silly and not difficult to work around, so I find it hard to believe.

New grad of PMHNP. Is this a typical first job experience?

New grad of PMHNP. Is this a typical first job experience?
I just started my first job as an NP on an inpatient geriatric psych unit. My collaborating physician unfortunately is on medical leave, and she is very ill! Other doctors come to see the patients in her place but they are frequently in and out quickly and otherwise unavailable. I've only been there a week and it's a disaster. I took one patient, and have no one to ask questions to as I haven't had any oreintation...and there is no one there. I feel like crying! I'm not taking any more patients until I get some sort of guidance. Am I being unreasonable? We had a new admission that I wasn't comfortable taking and I asked a doctor (that's there for 2 hours a day) if we could do it together and was blown off and he said he would just do it. Im worried that I'm going to be perceived as wanting too much handholding, but I'm literally just on my own. Has anyone been through this? Any advice?

Staff Nurses Who Refuse To Precept Or Teach?
This same type of nurse is probably the same type that complains how we aren't viewed as professionals. Well there ya go!

Nurse Corp Loan Repayment 2018
This will be my first time submitting for loan repayment. I just graduated in August with my PMHNP, and will be starting my new job in January. I'm so confused at this point, and not sure which program to apply for - or both. blarrrgh.
