Is anyone a member of a Nurse Association such as The National Association of School Nurses or the Texas School Nurse Organization? I'd like to be notified of any School Nurse conferences or educational events and I'm not sure if it's worth the money to be a part of any of these organizations. Any help will be appreciated!!

I am a member of the NASN (National Association of School Nurses) and with that membership, I get a free membership to my states nurses association. I get alot of benefit and use from being a member. A great wealth of information and networking with others.

Yes, I am a member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) & that automatically makes you a member of the the Texas School Nurse Association. NASN has a national conference each year & has stuff on their website. TXSNA has a few things here and there. NASN is a little expensive but they can also help with eye exam referrals.

I am a member of NASN which also gives me membership to PA school nurse association. I use it for the online CE's because what my school gives me is usually teacher related.

I am also a member of NASN, which also includes membership to the MA school nurse association. I actually love getting the Journal of School Nursing and links to so much helpful peer-reviewed research. It is pricey, but worth it.

Where do you find out if NASN covers state membership?

I went to my states School Nurse site and under membership it told about it.
