Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

I am praying for good news, but I am leaning towards thinking that I am getting a denial. I hope I'm wrong. I just think that since I have been waiting for 5 months the news can't be good. I can't believe I have been stressing for 5 months!!!

I call once a day everyday. I called the other day and the guy tells me that they are still reviewing applications. So I simply ask him "I thought they had already finished making decisions?" And then he tells me and I quote " what part of what I said didn't you understand???!!!!!" Can you believe he spoke with to me like that? It is horrific what is occuring at that school. I have been patient, considerate, modest, understanding, but that was a bit much for me. How could he speak to me that way??

schnauzer79=I'm still somewhat hopeful. However, I saw that you have a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field. you should apply to UM and/or Barry they have an accelerated program for students who obtain a bachelor's degree. The program is three semesters long and the GPA requirement starts at 3.0 and they require less pre req's! you should look into it. I decided to finish my Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology since I only have 20 credits lefts and attempt to apply; if nova doesn't accept this fall or spring of 2011.

ralphigesbabe= I can't believe he spoke to you in that manner! that was incredibly rude. I don't think they understand the magnitude of the struggle we have been through during this admission process. they really need to be more understanding and patient.

Has anyone called today, July 6, to find out any updates since today is supposed to the day we officially know... I was thinking about calling on Friday. Let me know if you guys have any information! I'm dying to know already too. Thanks!

Hey everyone I am new to this whole posting thing (I did it once) but I have been reading your posts and following you on this horrid waiting process too. I too was waiting to see if I got accepted into nova. I called today and I was told that if you did not receive a letter of acceptance by now then most likely you didnt get in for the fall term. The reason why they havent sent out denial letters yet is because they are waiting to see for those who did get accepted; to place a deposit on their seat. There is a chance that they may have to go back to applications if someone does not pay their deposit. Back to the denial letters: If you receive one, you will have the option of withdrawing your application or deferring it to the winter term. Hope this information helps some of you. I know it sucks but it is what it is. For those who didnt get in now, it not because you were not qualified. You have to remember that 1000 people applied and I was told that there were a lot of good candidates. Dont give up.

Kristou, I'm glad I was able to help you and then you were able to confirm. Giggles comment on pg 44 was very helpful since its current about who and when Baptist will be giving scholarships. I wish you the best and just have patience and stay positive. :up:

Jerziana, how are you?Congrats on getting accepted!!! I havent chatted with you for a while, what time was your interview w baptist? I had mine the 30th as well around 10:30am. I think I did well, I'm excited to hear back from them.

Hey Danes!!! I havent spoken to you in awhile... Congrats on your acceptance as well.. i didnt know that the ft. myers campus also offers the baptist scholars i thought it was only the main campus.... well either way i wish you the best in that, i had mine at 2:30 but i was there at 2 pm. We should be hearing something soon since they are interviewing the last bunch today and tomorrow and think..... I am a little nervous because you never know, just because i work for the system doesnt guarantee me a spot, but i have to remain positive, like i was with NSU. I made them laugh a lot so i am not sure if they were laughing at me or with me lol lol its a toss up, some of the questions were broad and then they wanted a lot of specifics.... but i hope we get in... if not then hey atleast we are in a nursing program...

To all my lingering friends out there... i know some have accepted your fate but remember you havent gotten that letter yet! So try to keep positive and thats all you can do at this point.. wishing you all nothing but the best... and everything happens for a reason... when its your time it will come... hugs
