NRSE 330 Family Nursing- Anyone whose taken it?

Published

Just wondering if anyone has taken Family Nurisng? How is it?

Any tips for getting through. I'm taking it this summer along with Stats... they overlap by 2 weeks. I know stats is going to do me in and I'm wondering if Family is hard or a lot of busy work?

I thought family nursing was pretty interesting. The assignments weren't too bad and there is a family case study you work on pretty much the whole class. The midterm and final were brutal though, I'm talking like 60-70% for some people, BUT they ended up curving a lot!! [TABLE]

There are several threads not too far back that cover Family nursing. You might want to resurrect them and see what was said. They were started by those of us taking it this past January. Full of information.

Thanks, I'll look for it.

Well, I read the posts and it doesn't give me much confidence going in. Seems that the midterm and final were the big problems. maybe they fixed it> one can hope! Anyone else taking it summer 2 session?

As long as they curve it...should not be a worry. The problem with the mid term and final was no real nexus between the reading assignments and the questions. Real head scratchers. But they made up for it with the curves. I doubt if anything has changed really.

There right beside you! Not looking forward to the tests ... the class itself should be ok. We'll get through it together.

They curved the midterm and final big time! It was a lot of work. I spent a lot of time on the case study questions each week, most of the time turning in 15 pages for the questions. I took it with another nursing class, I forget which one though...maybe interventions? Or legal? It was a lot of work, but doable.

I took it with Transitions for my first quarter with OU. I had nothing to compare it to. I thought it was a lot of work, not hard, just the usual busy, busy, busy stuff! Lots of writing in Family that is for sure.
