Hello Nursing applicants, I wanted to start a thread for us nursing students who will have to take the the TEAS Exam soon. It doesn't matter what school your going to, or what type of nursing program you applied to. I thought maybe we could share study tips and help encourage each other and hopefully, we will all get the score that we need so that we can get accepted into the nursing school we want to attend. I need at least a minimum score of 71 percent to be competitive for acceptance in the RN program I applied to. I take my test next week November the 6th. I have been studying for about three weeks now. My study guides are the ATI study guide, Secrets to TEAS V Study guides. I also have the Mcgraw- Hill 5 test book. I also purchased the ATI Test and will take the first online practice exam this wednesday. Please share what your doing to prepare, how your dealing with the test anxiety, and if you already successfully taken it what did you do to get the score you wanted. Good luck everyone!
I took the ATI online practice and only scored only 61.3 percent . I am going to review what the printout said I need to review and do the Mcgraw Hill 5 test and take test B on Monday. I am going off the grid until Monday. I will let you guys know how I did on the second online practice test. Good luck to you guys who have to take your Teas on Monday.
I am taking it on November 19th and I just took the Pax yesterday, so I concentrated on studying for that. Hopefully it is mostly the same, because I am just now starting to study for the TEAS. I'm applying to an Accelerated BSN program.. And they want at least a 75% ?.
For the ATI online practice exams, can you repeat the or are they one time only???? I was going to take the HESI but I think I will cancel the HESI and stick with TEAS since only one school takes HESI or TEAS but every other school wants the TEAS exam only.
for one ati online practice exam you can take it two times and that's it. there's two versions A and b for the practice exam online.
good luck!
I am in this boat. I have been studying the ATI manual since the beginning of the year. On my first practice test I Scored a 58%. I did EXTREMELY well in math, and reading. Science I got 33% but I hadn't taken A&P2 or any Chemistry at all (just lab tech chemistry which isn't similar and it was YEARS ago). I've gone through the entire book and am just starting to do one practice test section in the back per night. I didn't do horribly on the language section I Was just tired of taking the test and didn't really pay attention to detail. So. Reading section, I am confident on. Math, pretty confident, just need to memorize mt roman numerals which were never taught to me. Science, I am working on. I've since taken A&P2 and am half way done with Chem 2 pretty much. I wanted to take it in november but I am thinking early december would be better for me. I have high test anxiety. The teas is a make it or break it thing you know? So. Months of studying. Sigh. I am also using khan academy for science concepts.
I take the TEAS next Friday and I am so nervous! I have been studying for a while now with the ATI manual and have taken notes on all of the science topics, along with watching review videos on YouTube. I made sure to schedule my test early enough so if I need to retake it I can in January (the school I'm applying to requires 60 days in between tests). I'll be sure to keep you guys updated with my scores ! I take my first practice test Wednesday and the second next Monday. Then I figure I'll have time to review whatever topics I'm still iffy on before my test day !
Good luck everyone !

Shonda I believe you can purchase the exam as a package with the ATI manual, or just purchase the exams either one or both. I took the first one and did not do so well. I only got a 61.3 percent. So I am studying my butt off until wednesday.
