Hey ALL
This is role call as the date approaches for the board to meet so we can support each other: Yikes! My packet is ready and is going to the Board for approval for me to enter as a commissioned officer into the U.S. Army Reserves. Anyone else ? (Dates are November 18 and December 4)
Good Luck to all
Well, Ive hit a snag and it will probably be January before I am actually boarded. I am so irritated right now I cant hardly see straight. So, my bf will miss the whole thing. Apparently, my nursing license expires the end of this month (has already been renewed) and they needed a copy of it. No big deal, right? Well, my recruiter has had a copy of my license since SEPTEMBER and nothing was said until the LAST day of boarding for this month??? I faxed a copy of my renewed license over and of course, I havent heard ANYTHING. I am so freaking tired of the run around.
Congrats to all of you who are "boarding" or have recently been "boarded". Its a long process to get there. I was "boarded" at the end of June, and Commissioned an O1 (Army Reserve) in early July. As of today, I am still awaiting orders to report to my TPU. I was supposed to go to OBLC in January. At this rate, I will be lucky to make April's class. The Army's hurry up and wait game gets really old, really fast. You aren't "official" until you have orders in your hand. I have been bothering my recruiter weekly. Starting next week, it will be daily. It will be worth the wait, I know. But I wanted to share my experience so that some of you will know what you may be in for.... wait, wait longer, and then hurry up and wait some more. For them being in such dire need, they sure drag their feet in getting people through the process. Just my 2 cents. 66HM5
