I have applied since March and sent my last transcript last week. I had an e-mail yesterday saying that they received it. I just graduated with a B.S in Biology on May 1st so the classes: Human anatomy and Physio and Developmental Psy, I was taken during the spring semester, their grades didnt show on the transcript I sent on March so a week after I graduated I submitted a transcript with those grades.
My VIP page now has a check on all the required documents but im so nervous. I cant sleep, all I do is think think about it. My GPA for their required 30 credits are 3.79 but my overall GPA for da biology program is 2.841.
Do u guys think I have a chance? I didnt apply for any other school but NOVA. Im sacred, nervous!
By da way can you check the status of your application by using YOUR NSU ID NUMBER and how!
Not sure because I applied via paper application! lol. Everyday I check my mail. You could call Nova to find out- thats a good question. If you find out, let us know. :0)
Vitor305: Where did you hear about the 1000 applicants? Do you think they meant 1000 total for just the nursing program? That's a lot. Let me know if you hear anything else...:)
I wanna know if someone got accepted already for the Fall 2010? And how high was their GPA?
I heard they had 1000 aplicatons for this semester is that true?
I was accepted into the Fall 2010 entry-level program in the Ft. Lauderdale campus with a 3.55 GPA and completed pre-requisite classes. I also heard there were tons of applications for this semester - more than they have ever had. Nursing has become very popular so schools are only going to be more selective as the competition keeps increasing. I have a friend that was accepted into the Nova Program about 2 years ago with a 2.7 GPA .. crazy!
Wow, If they are not doing interviews this time around, than I wonder what they will really be looking at for applicants. Does any one know how many they accept each semester? That probably also means that the Baptist scholarship will be a competitive one as well. I can't wait to hear a response from them, whatever it is (hopefully its acceptance though lol)! Patience.....
I believe Nova accepts between 100-140 students and Baptist accepts 40-50. The interview portion was definitely a plus & what made Nova stand out from the rest, but now that they eliminated it from the process grades are what really count! They also take into consideration any Ws & Fs you might have on your transcripts. The essay portion probably helps some, but I think its the last thing they look at.
