Nova Southeastern University Entry-Level BSN Program

Published

hello,

i have a few questions for nova southeastern university (davie, fl campus) current nursing students and alumni.

i was told that there is an interview process; i would like to know what the interview process is like?

what questions are being asked?

how you are being evaluated?

how many people are in the room?

what kind of setting/environment does it take place in?

also.. would you say this school is difficult to get accepted in? what kid of students are they looking for (academically)? any tips &/or suggestions?

xoxo

I got accepted but i still didnt receive my letter. However the reason why I found out am accepted is because they sent the acceptance letter to my email. But dont worry because your not the the only one thats late with everything . Onientation is jan 4 so you can do what ever else is needed. make sure you turn in the forms for the florida residence tuition i spoke with someone and they said is really due 30 days after the semester starts. I would advise to try to get everything ready by orientation.

the booklist is posted online go in to webstar under orientation and click on entry nursing level nursing then click on booklist. Also schedules are up check ur email because nova has been emailing me

Hi everyone! Question regarding Jan 4th orientation in Ft. Lauderdale. Are we allowed to bring a family member with us for that day? Thanks!

congratulations to everyone who was accepted into the program and good luck to those who are still waiting a response.

I was just wondering what are the GPA's of the people who were accepted and if you guys know what was the lowest GPA accepted? :)

I would also like to know the same thing. Who ever was accepted can u please let us know your gpa's? thank you

I just applied last week for the Fall 2010 class and the advisor told me that ever since they recently handed over Nursing admissions to a new department, they are no longer doing interviews. I'm a little scared because my GPA is only like a 3.2 and was kind of hoping the interview would give me some sort of sliding scale. Anyone else out there applying for Fall 2010 and heard that they stopped doing the whole interview process??:redbeathe

There's a lot of updated information here. I applied at the end of February and was told yesterday that I have been admitted provisionally and need to wait for a letter in the mail. I finished all my pre-reqs last semester and currently have a 3.55 GPA.

I recently applied to the Fall 2010 program. I just sent in the application and just sent away for my transcripts to be sent. Like a dummy, i applied into the summer edison program only and now and scrambling to get into another nursing program. Is the entry level program at Nova a good program? I havent heard much about it. a few of my friends were trying to get in there, but other than that, i havent heard much, good or bad, about it.

my gpa isnt the greatest. its a 3.0 as of now. im at edison taking summer classes to boost it up and to finish up chem and sociology so i will get accepted into the fall program at nova.

HeY how so do you know you were admitted if you haven't received the letter?? I'm confused?? Lol..

First I got an email with my WebStart & Nova email info so that was my first clue .. then I logged on to my VIP page and it said I was accepted so I called and that's when they told me I had to wait until I received the letter in the mail .. they reason they do that is because they don't like giving decision information over the phone so they'll always tell you wait for the letter in the mail whether its a yes or a no

Hey, I know the application for the Fall 2010 class is due May 1st. I've sent everything in except for my transcripts and am hoping to do it by April 27th...do you think that will affect my chances? It seems like some people have already been interviewed or have gotten in but I thought that they wait until May to review the applications. Do you think I still have any chance? I have a 3.8 GPA. Thanks for your responses!

You definitely have the right GPA! I got in with a 3.55 so you're ok there. By the way, they got rid of interviews so they're only reviewing the documents you send in. As for your transcripts, I think you should be fine. It sounds like a lot of people are on the same boat as you are so Im sure they're aware of the date conflicts. I think as long as you sent in all your other paperwork before May 1 then you're in their system as having applied. The real game is going to start come next week when they start getting all the updated transcripts. Best of luck to you and everyone!!

I'm about to send in my Baptist application .. I get nervous just thinking about it!!
