I'm so there with you! Whenever I look at the bigger picture of my schedule like you just did, I get so stressed over how overwhelming it is! But if I just take it one day at a time, prioritize my responsibilities and focus only on what needs to be done in the here and now, it's more managable for me.

Yes......hang in there, and develop a meaningful, long-term relationship with dust, dirt, and grime!

Oh man me too!!! I have to actually stop myself from looking at the big picture, plan a little ahead but not so much that your stressing. i have 3 small kids a husband that travels during the week and 2 hard classes. I have a little study system going certain days scheduled for certain things, I pity anyone trying to disrupt it hehehhe. But I agree 100% the key for me is to take it one day at a time do what you can that day and move on.
I am going through the same thing and need some serious help with time management. Monday: I'm off and can study but have class from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. this class is 30 min. away.Tuesday: Work 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and class from 5:15 p.m. - 6:55 p.m. and this class is 1 hr, 42 min away.Wednesday: same work schedule and class from 6:00 p.m. - 8:40 p.m. this class is 30 min away.Thurday: same work schedule and class from 5:15 p.m. - 6:55 p.m. and this class is 1 hr, 42 min. away.Friday: same work schedule but thank god no class.Weekends: OFFI usually split my weekend time up between studying and family. I have 2 small girls ages 2 and 7, and another child, I mean husband LOL. I probably drive a total of about 8 hours a week to school. I live in a small town in texas and the closest campus is 30 min away. Unfortunately I can only take 2 classes there. I work a total of 24 hours a week and that is not something I can cut back on. I am all ready feeling a little overwhelmed and am hoping I could get a little advice also on how to manage my time a little better. If that possible.
I have had the same issues with time management and just don't know what to do.
I have spent the past two years going to school full time while working full time (and I mean 40+ hours of work). Now I am on my last three classes and have applied to direct entry MSN programs so I have to finish them. I work M-F 8:30 - 5:00 and then head over the bridge to Berkeley (I live in SF) to go to school M-Th from 6:00 - 9:00. Then all day (9-4) on Saturday; this means I have Friday night and Sunday for studying (I luckily don't have family or a husband so I don't have to deal with that issue). Anyway, I am sooo tired and frustrated because now I realize after my first rejection from school (UCSF) that I have to find some time to volunteer if I hope to be considered next year. I DONT have time! At least if I have to get all A's in my classes (which we all know that we do). How are there so many candidates out there who seem to be able to do it all?
.......................99% of us are in the same boat.
I am taking 10 units , 5days a week at school a husband, 3 children, and I tell you, IT IS A LOT OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i guess what makes it better is to remember what we are striving to do..our final goal..it helps alot!
good luck and rest AMAP (as much as possible)
how do single mothers do it?? right now I started taking pre-reqs, most online classes, my son is 13yrs old right now, I'm turning 35 this year, my concern is HOW do you keep a full time job, pay the mortgage/bills and keep up with a growing teenager and at the same time try to get into nursing school?? once accepted HOW then do you balance full time school (since most schools offer nsg program during the day, wiil need a night job (still need to pay mortgage/bills) and take care of my teenager?? I wonder whether I should just quit while I'm ahead..I have no one to help me so I wonder whether I should continue to do this!!!:uhoh21:
