So my admissions advisor succeeded in getting me the maximum credits for my general ed. classes. She's awesome! They accepted my statistics, which meant they waived the algebra requirement. They also accepted my AP English credits and my Honors Comp credits to fulfill all English requirements. So, just as I wanted, I don't have to repeat any courses! I do have to take Econ (blech) and an upper-level Soc class (diversity in the professions) in addition to the nursing classes (7 courses/24 credits). I also have to find a 2-credit class to go with all that because they require students to take at least 32 credits with them to earn the BSN, but there is apparently a 2-credit computer class I can take to cover that.
I also did a cost comparison spreadsheet (yes, another spreadsheet, stop laughing at me!) and it turns out that the RN-BSN programs I'm interested in would be nearly the same price, in the end. The other schools would require more classes at a reduced per-credit-hour rate, so it all shakes out to about the same cost for an RN-BSN.
So it looks like Chamberlain is the winner! I'm really excited!!
Lunah ,
Just going for your bsn huh ?
Why do I doubt that ? LOL
I expect any day now or a year from now to be looking at spread sheets for MSN programs .:wink2::wink2::wink2:
Good luck !
