Hello everyone! I submitted my application for Northeastern's Direct Entry Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. I was just thinking this could be a great space to provide updates, give each other tips, and ask any questions about the process. I know it is very nerve-wracking so this could be a great space. Please respond and we can get in touch on here or LinkedIn. Hope to hear from you all!

Thanks,
Yanka
They basically asked why Boston, why northeastern, and what led me to want to be a PMHNP. It was very conversational and casual, so definitely don't overthink it. I did prepare a bit the night before, but don't feel the need to over prepare! There was nothing that stumped me and they are definitely just wanting to have a conversation with us.

I applied for the family NP speciality and also had my interview on Dec 1st, she said she’ll let us know decisions in 1-2 weeks! I know they’re doing rounds of interviews so they’ll do another set after Winter break as well, so I wouldn’t worry if you haven’t heard back!
Congrats on your interview!? I am sure it went well and now you are probably super anxious awaiting a decision ahhhh! Did they contact you via email to set up the interview? I applied pretty close to the application deadline so I am sure I won't hear back for a bit regarding an interview or anything, but I want to make sure I am looking in the right place if they do reach out to me LOL.

Yes I am constantly checking my email loll And yes, they emailed me and gave me a bunch of time options, it was only a 30 mins interview, super short and conversational, nothing to worry about!

OMG I totally would be too. Perfect, thank you so much for sharing your experience to give us a better idea of what to expect, I really appreciate it. Is Northeastern your top choice? Or did you apply to other schools as well?

I applied to other programs but Northeastern is definitely a top choice! What about you?

Hey, have you heard back yet? I also had my interview the same day and am still waiting.

Hey! I haven’t heard anything yet and actually emailed the person who interviewed me. She said decisions may actually be out from December 1 by next Monday or Tuesday. Hope that helps!

I submitted on the 27th of November and I am currently going crazy while waiting! Please let me know when you hear back ?

I've been admitted for PMHNP and I am coming directly from undergrad.
3.97 GPA, still completing A&P 2 and nutrition. I have worked in an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, volunteer for crisis text line, and had an internship with a family support network. I plan to work with children and love working with them so that is what we talked about for the majority of my interview!
