Northeastern Direct Entry Fall 2022

Hello everyone! I submitted my application for Northeastern's Direct Entry Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. I was just thinking this could be a great space to provide updates, give each other tips, and ask any questions about the process. I know it is very nerve-wracking so this could be a great space. Please respond and we can get in touch on here or LinkedIn. Hope to hear from you all!

I know someone who was in the program a few years ago, and she was able to do hers out of state!

When I had my interview a couple weeks ago, the program director said scholarships usually go to ~5-6 students out of the 35-40 person cohort and it usually only is about $5000 for each of the four semesters of the BSN portion. I believe she said they were going to notify the small group in February.

I had my interview January 10th and have not heard back yet regarding admissions. has anyone heard back from around that time of interviews? I was told it would take 1-2 weeks but getting a bit nervous.

Maybe you’ll hear back tomorrow!! Fingers crossed!
 

When did u submit your application? I submitted mine on dec 1st and have yet to hear anything back

ah thank you! fingers crossed. 

I submitted mine on dec 1st and I believe it was verified on nursingcas that same day/fairly quickly. I know they were behind on reviewing applications for the FNP track.

I wonder if anyone has heard bad news yet? like rejection letters?

I just checked mine and it was verified on the 3rd! But I also saw that on the check my status tab it one of my transcripts says “updated transcript required.” Anyone else get this? How do I update it

I just received an email from a current student in the program asking if I have any questions about the application process or program. I have not heard back yet regarding admissions though…. so confused

Does anyone know if in the MSN portion if Northeastern guarantees NP clinical site locations? Also if the first part of the program to get your BSN, if it’s the same curriculum as the ABSN program at Northeastern?
