Hello everyone! I submitted my application for Northeastern's Direct Entry Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. I was just thinking this could be a great space to provide updates, give each other tips, and ask any questions about the process. I know it is very nerve-wracking so this could be a great space. I just received my acceptance last night for the FNP speciality ☺️ For those that are waiting, seems like they are still reviewing even though it’s break! 
Also is there an accepted students page on facebook (if not I can try to create one and post it here).

Hi there, I still have not heard anything from Northeastern. Should I be worried? 

You guys only submitted everything through nursingcas right?

Hi,

I wouldn't be worried! Based on previous threads and from what I was informed, they'll continue doing interviews and acceptances throughout the next month or two. And yes I only used nursingcas for my application!

Hi! I just finished my interview for the program today and the interviewer said they are sending out interview requests in batches. She also mentioned that the admissions are rolling and that students will have 2-3 weeks after getting accepted to make a deposit. Hope this info helps a little!

Which specialty did you interview for? I have yet to hear anything which makes me nervous.

I applied for FNP. I submitted my application on 11/26 and it was verified on 12/1. She also did mention that they're reviewing applications based on when it was verified!

The interview was actually quite conversational and not formal at all. They genuinely want to get to know you better as an applicant. As for the questions- since I'm taking a gap year right now, she asked what I was doing, why nursing, why NP over MD/PA, what I enjoyed about my clinical experiences, and what I plan to do with my nursing career. Definitely, be prepared with questions to ask the interviewer at the end !! It was a 30-minute interview, but her questions only lasted maybe 15 to 20-ish minutes at most.
