North Shore University RN Fellowship? Input needed!

I'm interviewing at North Shore University Manhasset for critical care fellowship. Everything seems to be great... nurse recruiter friendly and helpful, so is the floor where I interviewed. Anyone been thru the fellowship or heard anything about it? Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!

Anybody know when the next fellowship hiring "wave" will begin? The position is currently posted on the careers website....

I believe the startring months of icu fellowships are: March, June, October... good luck!

I have an interview scheduled for the fellowship, I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice in terms of preparing for the interview. From what I've heard about the program, it sounds great and I would be happy to secure a position.

I have had an interview with the NSLIJ recruiter before (although not for the fellowship) and I would say to dress very professionally and be prepared to answer behavioral interview questions. I was asked "Describe a situation where I have gone above and beyond for the patient" and I forget the exact phrasing of the second one but basically it was "Describe a time where you were at a crossroads and explain why you chose the decision that you did".

Hope that helps!! Your interview may/may not be tougher/longer since you are applying for a more desired position, so I hope you get feedback from those who did interview for the fellowship. Good luck!! Are you interviewing for the summer or fall fellowship?

how did you get the interview?? i have been actively looking at their career site for updated postings and haven't seen the fellowship positions :crying2:

Hey,

I did my last clinical rotation at North Shore and was told that there would be a Fellowship for September..as to when they will put up the application online..i have no idea!! I was offered another job and had to take it because I could not wait for them to put up the App. Good luck to you!! :)

september? :crying2: I guess I missed the June one b/c someone previously stated that they had an interview this month. Sigh.. and I've been calling HR and checking the website frequently for the postings and got nothing

So a couple of my friends had interviews there this week. I really dont think that the application is going to go up. I believe you have to contact the Nurse Recruiter yourself and try to set something up. I know that the Fellowship starts September 27. I think there are limited positions so they are not really advertising it like that. :crying2:

do you know if you get to choose which critical care unit you want to go into? or do they just place you anywhere?
