I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
I think the 'evaluated' transfers are for foreign school transfers. I may be wrong though.
Just send your information in all together, and hope for the best.
It has to be an official course description, not a copy from the course catalog. I remember them saying that.
HELP! I have a question for you guys that are already accepted IN the program. I am wanting to transfer 1 course (general psych.) from a previous university to cover the PSYC 2301. In the info. sessions she said "just include an official transcript from previous school with photocopy of course description (s) from the previous school that you wish to transfer in your appication packet". Now I am reading that there is a transfer course evaulation where you must take previously mentioned things to the Heath Occ. Office and get them evaulated (takes 10-14 working days and could take up to 30 days). Did all you guys that transfered courses from another school do this transfer course evaulation or did you just include all in the info. packet? I couldn't find my info. packet and I just found it and that it what I read. I am about to go up there now with all this stuff but I am also aware that if it takes 30 days that I won't get it back in time to submit with application and wanted to know what everyone else has done.
How's it goin', everybody!?!? I figure its about time I get on this thing.
Allow myself to introduce... myself.
I'm Nolan Haggard and I'm your TNSA Vice President. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about SNA as I feel that there is still a lot of wasted potential with the SNA programs, but it will take members to step up with suggestions to make a change. I look forward to that.

Katie,
Is your graded posted on Blackboard? Mine is not. Also, did you do the make up test? That is the grade that is outstanding on it for me. I am on the border of an A. Lets all cross our fingers! I went to the "Keys to Success" class for the last two weeks....and yesterday she scared the crap out of us. About testing and everything. She also gave us a schedule that does not match any other schedule we have gotten. Also, my clinical instructor is Mr. M.....didn't you say he was great?

I have just checked my grade on eConnect, it's not there yet. I can see all my test results on eCampus but no grade yet. I didn't do the make up test. I hope you get an A.
Don't be too scared about testing. We have all survived here. We are a great support group. Make sure you practice NCLEX type of questions as much as you can, like on meds publish.
Mr. M. is the best. I thought he would teach only the El Centro pilot group. Is he going to Mesquite? If so, you are going to have one of the best clinical instructor of the program. I have never seen him angry or heard him raising his voice. And he is willing to help each of his students, and that is a big help. I had him both as skills lab and clinical instructor and he was very supportive. I wish he taught 2nd semester, too...
Katie
What's so different about the schedule????????
I read on ecampus the first test is over 16 chapters, the second is over about 29 chapters....plus whatever else they throw in there.
I hope you get your A, if not, a B in MicroSUX! is good too!!!
Tomorrow is my Stats final. I should get an A...so far my lowest test grade is a 95. (...two 95's, two 100's, homework grades are all 100's, project is 95, and I'm not sure about the discussion board grades, but they better be an A too.)
Anyway......calendar days are being X'ed off....closer and closer.....
Fun,
The schedule she gave us had no indication of skills lab until the third week. But the last one I got, I was supposed to attend skills on Aug 28. I guess that is why they want us to check the board the week before classes start. Also....do you know of anyone who would like to trade their VA clinical for my Mesquite clinical. I was too late in getting back to Ami. I would really like to be closer to my house for clinical.
Kendra
P.S. still waiting on that Micro grade :chair:

Hey, why don't to try trading with our micro classmate, Marylena? She is the blond girl from Funny's group who wanted a clinical closer to north Dallas.
And thanks Amy!

Great! I just looked and she's not teaching during the fall. Only Dr. Su at NLC, and that's the only class I could take because it would be on Mon/Wed nights.
I didn't think they'd offer a Micro during the wintermester. Guess I'll just wait and pray that there is.
Otherwise, I don't know what I'll do!
