Alright - I know I'm a little late for this thread, but I am also starting at NLC at the end of the month for nursing. I'm so excited!!

I got the TBA hospital. Anyone else? Also, if you're taking the Math class before the semester starts, what day do you plan on going?

I've been reading through these threads and everyone has been offering up some GREAT advice. THANK YOU! Hopefully I'll start posting more and reading less. ;)

That's awesome! :yelclap: Where did you take it and who was your teacher?

I screwed myself. :( I was planning on taking Micro between Semesters 1 & 2, but silly me forgot that there will be no Micro then. So now I'm forced to take it during Sem. 2. I hope I can handle it all. :(

Are you sure there is no micro during wintermester?

I took it at NLC with Dr. K. She had average lecture classes, good labs and great multiplechoice tests. She also gave private tutoring to some of us. She is very nice, I recommend her class.

But it would be very hard to take it with 2nd semester nursing classes. 2nd semester is harder than 1st one.

The TBA hospital has been announced....

It's the VA Hospital with Linda Marshall as the instructor.

Anyone know Linda Marshall? Is she new, or from ECC?

PM/Email if you have any comments, please!

I wasn't wanting the VA, as much as Charlton (or an Irving hospital...lol), but oh well...

At least it's not an hour away from Mansfield. :uhoh3:

GTChick.....Try looking for an online Micro from another college. You may have to pay extra, but it could be another option, instead of taking it second semester. ....Not sure there....

The VA is close to you, isn't it?

I have never heard of Ms. Marshall. She might be new to the program.

Yeah, it's closer than Plano would be.

I wonder why they put another 1st semester at the same hospital as another clinical?

That means no 1st semester at Charlton at all this semester.

I hope everything works out. I hope she is someone I can learn from, not someone I'm going to feel like a complete idiot with.

HELP! I have a question for you guys that are already accepted IN the program. I am wanting to transfer 1 course (general psych.) from a previous university to cover the PSYC 2301. In the info. sessions she said "just include an official transcript from previous school with photocopy of course description (s) from the previous school that you wish to transfer in your appication packet". Now I am reading that there is a transfer course evaulation where you must take previously mentioned things to the Heath Occ. Office and get them evaulated (takes 10-14 working days and could take up to 30 days). Did all you guys that transfered courses from another school do this transfer course evaulation or did you just include all in the info. packet? I couldn't find my info. packet and I just found it and that it what I read. I am about to go up there now with all this stuff but I am also aware that if it takes 30 days that I won't get it back in time to submit with application and wanted to know what everyone else has done.
