No more reading! Questions only!!

Published

I am so fed up with reading Saunders! Every time I have a question from a section I THOROUGHLY read and took notes on, I cannot recall a specific detail for that question! What's the point then?? I completely understand now why people say 20% reading and 80% questions...I think I'm going to stick to questions only now! Sorry for the vent....I'm just so frustrated....:banghead:

if i am not feeling reading any chapters for a day, im not gonna read at all. i'll just answer questions and read the corresponding rationale. and the above mentioned 3-5 chapter is really to much. I also had a chapter a day and incorporate lacharity on it and just answwer q's.

Am I in good hands also by using Saunders and nclex questions 3500? I am hoping to test by June 2011.

yup, as long as you use it properly. i mean, any review material is helpful anyways. and good luck on your exam!

Oh yeah. im trying to start reading my 3rd chapter in saunders and just started this morning.. Gaaah brain overload. so i think ure right, i need to go back to my weak areas. oh well, i hope not everything haha jk. so how's mine? im gonna take on demand this april and reading my saunders and la chrity. and as I said to my other thread, i took the kplan's 180 items which is the one with the strategies 2011-2012 and i got 63% and i just took it just to test myself for know. so what do you guys think?

Been studying at least 150 questions/day and reading up on some stuff I know I suck at. Exam in 4 days.

Argh!

just do questions! and read the rationales for EVERY one, even if you got the question right! that is how you will build your knowledge base!

I agree that now we should do more questions and read the rationals rather then keep reading the chapters. This way we will know the weak areas well. But we should always go back to chapters for our weak areas.

Best of Luck!

Took my exam yesterday 4/13, tried PVT and I'm getting the good poop up. hopefully it's a good sign. Listen good luck to everyone who is preparing to take their exam, I'm sure you all will do good.

I know you might be so frustrated, However I would recommended you to do the saunders 4th ed pharma all , review it and do all the pharma questions, that helps me a lot since I got lot of pharma on nclex I think the more you do the pharma questions you would be more confident, I have out of 75 questions may be 35 were only from pharma and are from Board rules and regulations, I mean read the veracity, beneficience,....and so on I have one question from veracity too. and then Board of regulation questions too and then like red code yellow code or....code for high mortality , morbidity patients ,,,,sth like that kinda a question too (priority type) and difference between arteries or venous wound..and so on,,, pls review that too and I will write more on it but now review more pharma pls..and do the exam cram wonderful and helpful to me.

write you more, and goodluck
