NMC UK New Process CBT

There is a new process for NMC registration and it includes a competency test. I have seen the blueprint for the test and it seems so difficult to pass it. Is there anyone out there who already passed it? If so, can you give tips or some resources for review? Thank you!

Honestly, I dont have any as of now. Our agency advised us that we can be in the UK 2 to 3mos before our OSCE date for us to familiarise ourselves with their set up.

This is actually something im confused about. While ive been reading on the immigration process that we'll be going through (hopefully), it clearly states that we are only allowed to arrive in the UK 14 days before the start of the COS (certificate of sponsorship) and the official start of the COS will the be the day you sit the OSCE.

  • For those sponsored by an employer, it is expected that the sponsorship will formally start from the date of the scheduled OSCE, with arrival permitted up to 14 days ahead of that date. The sponsor may choose to continue to offer sponsorship in cases where the individual needs to re-sit the OSCE.

I came accross that problem actually but well, our agency will be the one responsible for that. Idk how.

True, it does pose a problem with going through the OSCE review though. Well anyway, all we can really do is wait and see what really happens. Cross our fingers and pray. Anything new with your papers? Or any news from the NMC?

So far there is none really and its frustrating. No choice tho

Exactly, there's really not much of a choice but to wait and see. I do hope your papers go through soon, since it does seem that your one of the people who were able to submit it first.

Any update on your application guys? There's still no response for me and it will be a month and a half now. Guess I'll just have to stretch my line of patience much longer.

None so far as well, and youve been waiting longer than I have. Yup a lot of patience and optimism is needed.

Its been almost 7weeks since the NMC received all of my documents but up until now theres no update yet.

Oh I see. I hope they get back to you as soon as possible. I know a decision will just be around the corner. :) Actually, I'm reviewing for the CBT and haven't scheduled a date yet. Quite to difficult to start studying especially if you're being given such an overwhelming amount of things to read. I don't know where to start. :/ How long did you guys prepare for the test? x
