There is a new process for NMC registration and it includes a competency test. I have seen the blueprint for the test and it seems so difficult to pass it. Is there anyone out there who already passed it? If so, can you give tips or some resources for review? Thank you!

Hi there!

Im on the full assessment and application part of the new overseas registration process as well. And yeah, its been a month also since all of my papers and other online forms were submitted but there are no updates yet. Waiting is always the most challenging part.

@PinoyRN12 You can say that again. It will definitely take us a lot of patience. Do you know someone who already had a response from the NMC regarding their documents on this stage?

Ive talked to one but she has replacement documents so she has to wait for another 3 to 4 weeks again. I havent heard of someone who has taken the OSCE.

Oh. That's another problem to think about. Hoping that we won't encounter anything like that and that the NMC will approve our documents right away. It's not easy to wait for another month for reassessment. Btw, what materials are you using as a preparation for the OSCE?

Honestly, I dont have any as of now. Our agency advised us that we can be in the UK 2 to 3mos before our OSCE date for us to familiarise ourselves with their set up.

@PinoyRN12 Me too. I'm not really in the mood yet to scan books or other review materials without knowing when I will be able to take the OSCE. But it's making me conscientious not doing anything despite having plenty of time due to this waiting game. Haha! :)

That is true. Hehe But I guess well have time to review when we get the materials from Uni of Northampton itself.

Ive only been waiting for about 2 weeks. I did ask my agency if there's anything I should be doing to follow it up. I was informed that the NMC should actually be sending an email to confirm that they have received the papers and that the agency will be following up with the NMC as well. What has your agency said about the waiting period?
