NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

I will be taking the cbt for the first time and reading how people feel about how the exam is set is not so encouraging and quite a scare. Anyone who took the exam recently for tips? Its sad if majority people fail because of the ''critical questions'' Really don't know how I will get it right because certainly its not a normal distribution unless those who pass are not on this forum....

1. Read and search this thread and other blogs for tips.

2. Read the NMC code.

3. Read the NMC blueprint and the links being shown.

4. If you have spare time, read the Royal Marsden clinical procedure manual book. I read it in epub form only.

Please prioritize reading the blueprint links.

Focus on certain topics like infection control, safeguarding, etc youll get to read certain topics to focus on when you read blogs. Please try to find.

Perfect simple drug calculation because I believe all of the calculation quesrions are critical, its like bonus.

Godbless.

my friend from ASC told me that her agency sent her an email stating not one hospital was given any COS. and by next month, the change in cos point system will be applied.

Thanks xhiwari. I don't know if the changes will be beneficial to us. I was being a bit anxious yesterday and now knowing that no hospital has been given kinda made me feel that I should not expect so much from it í ½í¸§

@mich567715 same here... I am getting really anxious. Hope they were able to get enough numbers of COS for all of us. Goodluck for tomorrow's result. Whatever happens, let's just tryst God's plans for us.

Xhiwari got the answer. It is true, 39 was the minimum score for this september and it seemed we did not reach it. Anyway, Godbless to all of us. :(

I think you might have only read the first few pages of this thread, when the CBT was still new and quite possibly full of bugs and glitches. Back then, people who took the test were failing left and right, but it's almost a year now and that has changed since then: many people passed the exam with minimal preparation and have now proceeded with the succeeding steps of the NMC application. And yes, they post here in this topic whether you believe it or not.

Kurokocchi, hi are you alaso applying for uk? Or are you in uk already?

Hi guys, been reading a lot on this thread. Also waiting for my COS. sad news indeed. But, keeping the faith here.

Still in the process of application. I already have my DL and now I'm just waiting for the CoS so I can practice first before taking the OSCE.

Hi,

which documents have expiration and how long are they valid?

thanks!

Hi,

NMC doesn't really place a validity period on documents that you own (birth certificate, registration certificate, transcript), aside from those that already have their own expiration date (passport, police clearance). As for police clearances, NMC only considers them valid up to 3 months.

The forms you download from NMC are a different story. I think they are valid up to 9 months from the inscribed date, but I'm just basing that on what they told me when I asked them to thave my papers transferred.
